You know what I'm liking about this? Since I made an aesthetic decision to not get freaked out by all the people with their oodles of experience & scrapbook and paper-work know-how and instead concentrate on making something a bit more true to me (messy, grungy, lots of found stuff and my daily ephemera) I've had a lot of fun.
Just now I attempted to print out a photo. It cocked up, but I'm thinking 'alright! I can chop this up and use bits of it in other parts of the journal'
this sounds really cool. i do a similar thing thing when i'm traveling. for each trip i have a book that i stick all kinds of miscellaneous stuff in (bus tickets, maps, entry passes, business cards, lolly wrappers) and write about what i'm doing and seeing as i go along. i don't bother too much about making it pretty, i just want a chronicle of my experience. the final journals end up being brilliant records of their various journeys. i love reading over them sometimes and leafing through all the fragments of different places and memories.
