These 2 are the "Puffball" and "Bonita" free patterns that can be found on Ravelry.com. I really like these. Made them for a few girlfriends for X-mas, and now I have to make myself some!

3  Re: Yarn Bombing-Along in Crochetalongs by crafty01_87 on: November 21, 2010 04:11:58 PM
I finally got around to my first yarn bomb!  I hit the bust of the Dean of Visual Arts in the art building at school. We'll see how long it lasts and what kind of reaction it gets.  :-)

I finally got my package from the school mail room! YAY! Awesome box of goodies:

Smittenheart sent me a bunch of stuff:
-a knitted cowl/scarf that is oh-so-soft (haha, great minds DO think alike  XD  )
-2 necklaces, one resin bat, one photo-pendant of Grim from Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy (all in a pretty little bag)
-homemade Porter Beer soap (which I could smell through the box, LOL!)
-and a little brown and pink stuffie guy. (not sure exactly what he is.   lol)

ACTION SHOT!

Thanks awesome replacement swap buddy!

6  Ich Liebe Rammstein in Crochet: Completed Projects by crafty01_87 on: September 23, 2010 06:23:50 PM
I crocheted a Rammstein hat for myself. One of my favorite bands ever. This is the first thing that I have crafted for myself in over a year, also the first time I attempted to use more than one color where I needed to use bobbins. Not as hard as I was expecting. I actually had 3 small bobbins of the blue going, so that the inside didn't look like a complete mess and didn't waste yarn doubling it back and crocheting over it. I only had 3 little tails to weave in at the end.

7  Hat n Scarf set, cluster stitch in Crochet: Completed Projects by crafty01_87 on: September 18, 2010 01:00:31 PM
I just finished the hat today.  :-)
This set is an X-mas gift for my cousin's daughter (she is 10, fav color is purple.) This yarn is...interesting. It's the Red Heart Textures, and when you do single or double stitch, they just blend together and it looks like a washcloth, so it took me a while to find a stitch design that looked good. It's a cluster V stitch, and I really like it. I can't wait for X-mas!

8  Cups! so many cups in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by crafty01_87 on: September 15, 2010 04:25:00 PM
Last semester my focus in my ceramics class was dinnerware, mainly cups and bowls, So here are the cups! I really love the shape that I ended up with.

There were 2 of these, one ended up as a gift for my favorite H.S. art teacher.

Very rarely does this glaze come out this awesome. Love it.

These others are sets of 6, even though only 2 are pictured:

I'm down to 4 of these; Gave one to another HS art teacher, then my brother took one.

9  Bowls, Spring 2010 semester (pic heavy) in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by crafty01_87 on: September 15, 2010 04:17:00 PM
I finally got around to posting some of my ceramics stuff. For some reason I never noticed that Polymer clay and ceramics stuff were in separate places here, I never noticed the "completed ceramics/pottery" section, LOL. SO her we go. This is work from the past Spring semester. All of it is Stoneware fired to cone6 :

These are all sets of 4 bowls, even thought there are only 2 in each pic

These next ones were made for he Reading, Pa area Souper Bowl event. Handmade bowls are donated, then rich people attend the event which is a kind of dinner and sale for the bowls. All of the profits are donated to charity:

10  mmmm brains! I mean, raisin bran! (Pic heavy) in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by crafty01_87 on: September 14, 2010 02:24:53 PM
This was a gift for one of my friends last year. She is a history/archeology major, and has a love for all things skeletal. I have to make myself one this year, because I almost couldn't part with it when it was finished. Perfect size for cereal!
Stoneware clay, semi-gloss white glaze fired to cone 6:

ACTION SHOT! This is my friend enjoying her gift:

This also spurred a couple copy-cat attempts by the intro students in my studio.
