1  Sports Classic Slipon in Knitting: Completed Projects by Dawn on: December 06, 2005 07:01:57 PM
This pattern is from McCalls Fall/Winter 1961 issue.

It's made from a baby alpaca called "Inca Gold" that I think is produced locally (Montreal).

More pictures of me looking goofy in it in my blog, dullknits.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking!

2  Pants Factory in Sewing Pattern Reviews by Dawn on: October 18, 2005 02:38:07 PM
Can anyone recommend a good pants pattern? I have not had much luck with them.  I'm not sure why but the fit always seems to turn out odd.

I've been looking at Vogue 8131
as I like the style and Vogue are usually cut well.

Any thoughts?

5  Re: Desperately seeking ARGYLE in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Dawn on: June 23, 2005 08:14:42 AM
I found it! It wasn't in Mon Tricot after all, but the 'McCalls Needlework Treasury.'  And also it was a chart.  And I am dumb so I don't know how to modify those charts from the net, so I tried to make my own in Paint, and it turned out really wonky, for which I am so sorry. It's marked out in 8x10 blocks but I can't get it to post large enough.  Do you want me to send you the file? Then you could play around with it and stuff.

At any rate it was pretty fun to make (like a knitting crossword puzzle!) and I hope you can get some use out of it.
