1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Silk Underbust Corset - IMAGE HEAVY! on: September 01, 2005 05:54:02 AM
Normally I only make custom corsets to order, but I've been itching to try out some new ideas, so I made an underbust corset to post on eBay. Fortunately, underbust corsets don't have as many measurements to worry with, so I don't feel so bad that it's not 100% custom.

The outer layer is fuschia silk dupioni, and the PVC piping is handmade (by me).

2  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / COLD Water Dye vs. HOT Water Dye... on: July 15, 2005 02:29:02 PM
I'm a big fan of using Dylon's hot water dye, but I'm curious about their cold water stuff. Has anyone ever used it? Good? Bad? Poopy? I'm under the impression that cold water dyes are more vibrant...but am I insane? HELP!  Huh
3  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Anime/Manga Maid's Uniform Reproduction - IMAGE HEAVY! on: June 30, 2005 08:51:30 AM
A friend of mine comissioned me to create a reproduction of a maid's uniform based on the artwork of Kakogetuen. He wanted to do a photo shoot with a live model. He provided me with a few images, and this is what I came up with:

These are the images he provided me with:

The photographs were provided courtesy of the photographer. Please don't reproduce them! Thanks!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Rockabilly Cherry Halter Dress on: June 14, 2005 08:33:42 AM
So I made this dress from a pattern (yes, I'm sad to say it's not my *own* creation), but I liked it so much, I had to post pics. Unfortunately, I over-compensated for my boobs, and made it a little too big in the bodice area.  Undecided Off to eBay it goes (hence the silly faces - I'm trying to concentrate on getting a good pic of it while my kitty's trying to get my attention  Tongue)!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / MESSENGER BAG MADE FROM CORDUROY PANTS on: June 01, 2005 05:14:06 PM
My sister outgrew a pair of (size 1!!) corduroys, and gave them to me to make something out of. Naturally, I thought of a handbag first!! Here's some snappy pics for ya! Smiley

6  Ohio / Ohio: Central / Craft Fairs - Columbus, OH? on: February 07, 2005 03:55:30 PM
Does anyone know of (or have been to) craft fairs of any sort in Columbus, OH?  Huh
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Lampwork Kitty Beads - What to do?!! on: February 01, 2005 01:10:03 PM
I've recently acquired some super cool lampwork glass kitty beads. Unfortunately, they have a huge drill hole, and standard headpins slide right through 'em. Anyone have any ideas how to compensate for this?  Huh
