Another skirt I have...I just laid it on top of some newspaper, and added the inches for seam allowances...

I just checked out www.Stitchguide.com...I think I'm in love with a website  (other than craftster, that is)!!  I've been wanting to learn more than just the single crochet, and now I can...I've bought books, but it always works out better if I can SEE it...maybe now I can finally figure out how to knit!!! I went to walmart earlier today...was browsing through the fabrics, when I found the CUTEST print....I imediately thought that I needed a new skirt...so for about $6 this is what I got...

I've sketched something out...gonna try it...let you know how it comes out...

Holywhack-before going to Staples and buying the peanuts, you should check at places that ship UPS and Fedex and things. I know a lot of them accept "used" peanuts for recycling and reuse, so perhaps you could get them free (or very very cheaply) So your only cost would be your fabric.

I never would have thought about going to a packing place...there's a ups store right next to my work!!

and from my research, they seem to recommend polystyrene/styrofoam beads rather than peanuts for comfort. Seem to be able to get these from some fabric or craft stores and maybe packaging type places.  

I won't be making these pillows for a while...at least a year, or when I finally move out of the parents house...  but I'll make a note on the pattern to look into the beads....

I bought a pattern for floor pillows, bean bags, star, flower and heart shaped...and a cube one too, anyways, for the bean bag one, it says to use "protective packing peanuts available at office supply stores such as staples"
 and the floor pillow says to use polyester fiberfill, but to stuff lightly.

the pattern is simplicity 5105

I usually would have never bought the pattern for pillows, but it was on sale at hobby lobby for 99 cents!!

There's this guy out in California that's made quite a few very cool paper mache stuff, he did life-size Elvis, that now lives at some yahoo offices!!

When there's something I find that I really wanna do, I print it out, (of course this only works if you have a printer and some ink in there)   It's cool because you can save the instructions, and go back and reference when needed...
