1  TARDIS Bulletin Board in Completed Projects by MedusaLisa on: August 19, 2014 05:03:19 AM
My sister had this old bulletin board with fabric on it that I wanted to re-make.  I took off the fabric and when I did, it removed some of the top cork layer. Not a problem since I wanted it to look like the wall from Doctor Who in the episode, Blink.

I painted the outside as close as possible to TARDIS Blue and then I took some paper and covered parts of the cork that was left. The white part is where the cork was taken off with the fabric. There is where I wrote the infamous words to Sally Sparrow.

Here is the finished project:

I am really happy with the way it turned out. It is now a functional piece of art!  Later on I want to make some weeping angel push pins to go with the board.

I received an amazing package from Spoopy!

First, a group shot that includes a Canadian Moose with a little maple leaf on his tummy!  He is super adorable!  I also got some smarties candies.

Next is a frame that says Dont Blink from my fave episode!  I am thinking of finding a mirror to put in the frame!

I got some beautiful TARDIS inspired wrist warmers.  The pictures dont do them justice.  The yarn is beautiful and very soft.

And my favorite, a Weeping Angel amigurumi!  I love this thing!

Thanks for the great package, Spoopy!  You were a great partner!

I received my super awesome package from whenindoubtsew!

First she gave me several charm bracelets: one for Hawkeye.  On his bracelet there is a brain to represent the quote from the movie: have you ever had someone take your brain out and play with it? There are bows, arrows and a the Budapest flag for the quote: You and I remember Budapest very differently!

The next charm bracelet represents Iron Man.  His has the Stark tower, a pepper pot for Pepper Potts, arc reacter charms, Iron Man, Tony Stark, a missile with Stark written on the side.

The third bracelet represents the Avengers with all of their logos and even a Loki head on there!

She sent me Hawkeye and Iron Man felt badges, an Avengers Hoopla and I also asked for something Australian and boy did she deliver!  I got a kangaroo zipper pull, an Australian flip-flop, an Australian alphabet sticker and two Aussie animals: a platypus and a wombat.

I also got Hawkeye and Iron Man shadowboxes with paper craft figures that are too darn cute!

She also made me some Hawkeye armwarmers (they fit great by the way) and a t-shirt with the word Shawarma on it and the first A is the Avengers symbol.  (I thought this scene was so funny!)

She also sent me two chocolate Avengers eggs, some caramello chocolate koalas and some Aussie animal chocolates.  Unfortunately I did not get to take a picture of them as it is 100 degrees here in Texas and they were already melting so I put them in the fridge.

As you can tell she spoiled me rotten and she was a fantastic swap partner!

I hope you like the things I sent you and I hope you get your package soon!

Class: Reducto
House:  Slytherin
Project name:  Tiny Padfoot

Last year I received a booklet for a knitted sock monkey pattern. I knitted a lot of them for work but decided to take the pattern and alter it a bit to make a wolf.   For this craftalong, I made a tiny padfoot!

The grey wolf is the first one I made altering the pattern.

Class:  Knightbus Challenge
House:  Slytherin
Project:  Invisibility cloak for Padfoot

I figured since Padfoot was small enough he might be able to figure out what is going on with the Knightbus, but just to keep him safe, I felt he need to be invisible.  So I quickly sewed up a little mesh invisibility cloak.  When closes it over his head, he is invisible!

With it closed up

As Lana said, Squire is an amazing craftster!  I absolutely love all of the gifts and I hope she has a good pic of my parasol because it is phenomenal!

Here is a pic of my doll complete with Ginger, Lana's cat, in the pic:

I really enjoyed my first swap!  Thanks, again, Squire!
