1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / putting letters together to make words on: February 27, 2011 06:26:09 PM
I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to combine letters from fonts to make words.  I have downloaded some cute fonts and would really like to be able to put them together to make names (without downloading some expensive program to do so).  Any tips or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / mini INDIANAPOLIS COLTS helmet for my little superfan /tut added on: July 08, 2010 07:30:34 PM
Check out what I made for my son.  He is like the ultimate colts fan.   The other day he asked me if I could crochet him a  little colts helmet.  I told him I'd give it a try and this is what I came up with.

It is heavily starched so it holds its shape.  What do ya think?

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / baby blanket with crocheted edge & MUSHROOMS on: July 01, 2010 09:48:36 AM

Just finished this today.  I crocheted an edge around a receiving blanket then hand embroidered little mushrooms in one corner.  I really enjoyed making this.  Hope ya'll like it.  Smiley

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sock Monkey Mask on: June 17, 2010 05:44:56 PM
Check out the mask I made for my friend, modeled by my hubby.  She wanted the KIA monky but she'll have to settle for this monkey.  LOL   Thought I did a pretty good job wanted to show it off.  Made pattern up as I went along.

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / what can i do with plastic toy containers from machines on: June 16, 2010 05:11:04 PM
I have got ALOT of little plastic containers that toys come out of maybe 50 or so.  (My little boy collects the miniature football helmets so thats where they came from).  They are clear with different color snap on lids.  I can't bear to throw them away, seems like they could be made into something.  Need some ideas,  please!  I have racked my brain for about six months and I can't come up with anything.
Heres a pic of what they look like.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / swapping crochet patterns on: May 18, 2010 06:03:07 AM
I am looking to swap crochet patterns, if it legal to swap pattern scans.  Does anyone know if it is?  I have got ALOT of patterns and books full of patterns.  If anyone is interested let me know.  I am mostly interested in the barbie/fashion doll patterns and patterns using thread (not doilies).
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help for PINKY pain grrrrrrr on: May 27, 2009 11:21:10 AM
Hello I need some advice.  I have been crocheting on and off for about 22 years.  As of lately my pinky on my needle hand has REALLY been hurting.  So much that it is unbearable for me to crochet.  I have seen some different products that fit over your needle to help.  Like cushions, eggs, and etc.  Has anyone tried any of these things and can give me any recommendations?  Thanks in advance..
