Round 1 was so much fun - Definitely count me in for Round 2!  Off to the Ravenclaw common room to dream up some new Potteriffic creations...  Smiley

Received my completely AMAZING package from Headmistress Jennie on Saturday!  Posting a little late, because DH has been very unwell and caring for him does take priority over my craftaholism.  Things are looking up, though, and he will likely be well enough to attend the premier with me as planned!  Anyway, on to the pics!

First, a group shot of all the edibles - I am afraid most of these will not survive long enough to attend the premier with us... Goodness, what do we have here? Rasberry almond marshmallows, peanutbutter Gryffindors/chocolballs, Dr Beanpole's Skele-Gro Vita-Charms, chocolate frogs, ice mice (my personal favorite so far), ginger stars/chocolate raspberry truffles/rasperry cremes, and pretzel wands!:

Better pics of the Skele-Gro Vita-Charms and ice mice:

On to the wearables!  I think pretty much everything on here came off my wists - My very own Ravenclaw Quidditch hoodie, Ravenclaw charm bracelet, 3 pairs of earrings, and Ravenclaw house colors bracelet:

Some action shots of the hoodie (I LOVE the bronze rhinestone stripe on the sleeves!), crystal ball earrings, and charm bracelet:

And finally, the most incredible game I have ever seen. EVER.  It's a piecepack, which I had never heard of until I received this one, but it truly is an ingenious idea - the perfect gift for a Ravenclaw!  (to learn more about piecepacks, visit www.piecepack.org  )  It's basically a set of board game parts that you can use to play a variety of different games.  This one is designed with the 4 suits corresponding to the 4 Hogwarts houses and comes with a rule set called "Dumbledore's Army".  The whole game fits in the beautiful box shown below:

I didn't think to take a picture of the game set-up for Dumbledore's Army.  Tomorrow, perhaps Smiley

This was truly a phenomenal package, and I am thoroughly spoilt!  Thank you, Jennie, for all of the incredible goodies and for being such a wonderful partner!  Cheesy

I was beginning to worry that the supplies I ordered would never arrive in time... but the first bits arrived today!  Unfortunately, while perfectly wonderful pieces, they are not precisely what I thought I was ordering which poses a bit of a problem.  I suppose once the rest of the pieces arrive, I will be able to puzzle out a way to make it work (and after all, what are Ravenclaws known for, if not solving puzzles?)... if only they arrive with enough time!

Finished my toy, although I might make a few more just because it was so much fun!  Also finished with one of the extras DH came up with, and I think it turned out quite nicely.  It could also double as a wearable, I suppose, if one was inclined to be creative enough *hint, hint*  Smiley  Wearable is underway, and perhaps 15-20% complete.  Waiting for supplies for one more extra, and finalizing plans for the edible.

I'm also toying around with another idea for a toy/accessory if i have time.  Smiley  We shall see...
47  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Tiered skirt to comfy shirt on: October 08, 2010 11:02:43 PM
Really cute, and totally clever!  I've made skirts like this into pants before, but never thought to do a top.  What a fantastic idea, and it looks positively lovely on you Smiley

Ooooh, that lighthouse is positively gorgeous!  My guess is machine embroidery on water-soluble stabilizer?  In any case, you did a wonderfully beautiful job!

For those of you having trouble finding yellow wearables for Hufflepuff fun:
I picked up a really nice golden/mustard yellow henley with grey-black buttons in the men's section of Target today.  It's long sleeved and very soft.  I can't find a link to the shirt itself, but here's one to a boy wearing a hoodie over the shirt:
Yellow Henley
They also had a neat thermal shirt in the same shade of mustard and dark charcoal grey.  Both are  cute shirts, and it could easily be altered down to fit a woman.  Smiley
Yellow/Grey Thermal

(And so that Andromeda isn't freaked out that I've gotten her house wrong...  No, I know you're a Ravenclaw darling!  Cheesy  My friend/former student Dustin (aka unholycookies) is coming down to visit for the Deathly Hallows premier.  I tried like crazy to find a yellow hoodie for him, but no dice.  So he's getting a shirt instead.)

LOL - I didn't think for a second you'd forgotten my house (after the spectacle I'd made of the books vs. movies thing)!  Smiley  But, as it turns out, this information is useful to me as well.  My dear little sister is a Hufflepuff!  And, as I have mentioned, she happens to be my craftster swap guinea pig  (meaning I test out any questionable craft theories on her before creating for my partner), as well as the one who introduced me to the world of HP to begin with, so I am forever in her debt.  This gives me a few ideas for her that I might tackle post swap...  Cheesy

As I'm sitting here plotting and planning, DH just came up with two fantastically clever ideas for extras!  He claims to be Slytherin through and through, but sometimes I think he may have a little Ravenclaw in him after all...  Smiley
