1  Re: Any suggestions on winery decor for kitchen? in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by girlonjourney on: September 15, 2005 07:19:06 PM
I made a wine cork a few weeks ago....if you have a bunch of corks, all you need is a straw wreath, some tacky glue and toothpicks and voila!

2  Have no clue what I am doing in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by girlonjourney on: September 05, 2005 03:17:58 PM
Hi clothing craftsters, I am wondering if you can give me some advice. I don't sew...although my mother has some skills in this area and I have this dress that I want to transform.

I want to make it more of an empire waist dress and strapless....kind of like this:

It seems like it would not be difficult, however, as I mentioned I have no clue and can't sew. So, before I enlist her help I thought I would see if you all think it would work. Thanks!

3  Wine Cork Wreath in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by girlonjourney on: September 05, 2005 02:58:25 PM
Here's one of my newest creations.....what do you all think? It didn't sell at the show this past weekend but I got a bunch of nice comments on it. Also a lot of people asking if I drank all of that wine (no, did not  Wink ) It is really huge and hard to lug around. I am thinking this will sell closer to the holidays, perhaps a good gift for someone who likes wine....I will probably make more for gifts as well.

5  Re: button wreath in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by girlonjourney on: August 19, 2005 09:24:37 PM
Here's my finished button wreath!!!!!!! Finally...took so long because every time I turned the wreath the buttons were sliding around so I had to wait for the glue to dry on each section before I turned it. I think this was because I layered the buttons on one another. What do you think?

6  Seashell Topiaries in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by girlonjourney on: August 13, 2005 08:56:48 AM
I made these a while ago, they are my second attempt...I sold the first ones....just used topiary forms, put them (glued them in) terracotta pots, and glued on shells and moss.

Thank you nikki9door for encouraging me to figure out how to put pictures on these posts finally!
