Amigurl, that is going to look fantastic.  I am impressed with how much you have completed already.

My backstitching was taking FOREVER and I realized it was not going to be done before the holidays so I have put that project aside to be taken up again after the holidays so I could make other things.

I underestimated the amount of back stitching on this piece, really not feeling motivated Tongue

Excerpt of the chart, I have no idea how I missed the amount of back stitch while looking at this chart the last few months!

Just backstitch left!  Phew.

Filling in all the little parts I missed is so boring  Tongue  7 stitches of colour 14073.  4 of a blend.  11 of colour 27979.  Oh, 4 more of 14703.  Another 8 stitches of a different blend.  snoooozzee.

I am traveling in a couple weeks and can't take this one with me, so I am taking my next pile of flesh.  It only has 2(!) colours.  Normally I think that would be very boring but it will be a relief after this project and it's many, many, colour changes.

An outline like that will make the other stitching much easier, chrislizbert

Here is mine at the end of hte summer. Not too exciting, I worked more on the snow and filled in some of the areas where I was missing 4 stitches of one colour or something.  Trying to get the rest of the background done before I work on the wagon, as I want it to the the last thing I stitch before I backstitch.

Before we left on our trip I was sad because I didn't have a project to work on in the car and the I saw my Big Project on the planter in the dining room and Yay! I have been working on it. I have completed 2 more colors on this trip, when I could work on it in the car, which is to say when Neil Gaiman's sultry voice wasn't holding my rapt attention. We have another 8 hour trip tomorrow so maybe I can get a 3rd color done. I will post a pic when we get back. So excited to have made progress on it again, first time in like 6 months!

What Neil Gaiman are you listening to?  He's one of my favourite authors.

I need to buckle down, I still have a chance of completing mine for October.  I already have my next project picked out.  It's smaller so will be more portable than the one I have in the big floor stand.

I'm afraid it's near impossible to guess, since it's a combination of a mythological creature and a real one. You'll have to wait until next month Smiley

A hippogriff?

Looking forward to seeing the art piece and your stitching, chrislizbert.

BriannaB03, that looks like a relaxing piece to work on, lots of nice big colour blocks.

I haven't touched mine in ages, I need to get on it again if I want it done for Oct or Dec.  I tend to stitch more in the winter when it's too cold and dark to do much else anyway.

eat it!

How did you do the tint in the dress and shoes?  Crayon tint?

I did one of her patterns (the one with all the books) and I stupidly used watercolour pencil crayons to tint the books and the colour bled out past the stitch line.
