1  Tangled Rapunzel's Bodice in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by dana_h on: January 22, 2011 11:21:20 AM
Hi, I'm trying to make Rapunzel's dress and I need some help with the corseted bodice part I'm not sure how to make it.
I thought I'll maybe make an underbust corset and some sort of bra or heart-shaped piece and sew them together. but I'd rather do it as exact and beautiful as possible, so I'm hoping for a free great pattern / tutorial and I need your help.

Here are great pictures of the corseted bodice-

and from Disneyland-

3  Help with a dress for a friend in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by dana_h on: December 25, 2010 10:07:50 AM
A friend of mine asked me to make her a dress just like this one. the thing is... I learned and know how to make a dress in the shirt + skirt sewn together way, but never learned or sewed a long dress made from vertical stripes of fabric....

If anybody can help with an explanation, free pattern or anything like this, I'll be very thankful.

This is the original dress-

Thanks!

4  20's little dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by dana_h on: August 09, 2010 02:56:14 PM
Here is a dress I made a few months ago for a friend's birthday based on this post but with my own pattern:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44553.0

I'm not so happy with how the pearls and rose are placed, I tried to make it "perfect" but couldn't and after I hand sewed the rose to place (and made it myself) I didn't want to ruin it or ruin the thin fabric.
My friend loved it a whole lot, and I'm glad.

7  "Pet society" dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by dana_h on: July 20, 2010 03:34:44 AM
A few months ago I made a friend of mine a doll of her pet in "pet society", a video game from facebook. She loves this game and her character so much I thought she'd be really happy to have a real, huggable one.

So here's Mojna-

She loved her doll so much she requested one for a friend of her.
So this is Liloosh-

The dolls are made from a fleece blanket.

I saw this pretty skirt one sleepless night and had to save the picture and try to make one similar with my own little things added.

9  So I tried a little Freddie, hmm... (lots of pics) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by dana_h on: July 10, 2010 04:52:41 PM
A few months ago a friend of a friend asked me to make his girlfriend a Freddie Mercury jacket, the yellow one he wore in wembly.
I'm pretty new to sewing, I started in September. But I really like how it turned out. I'm learning fast.
The woman I made it for LOVED it! so I'm happy.

The original-
