Mink_bikini, what a fabulous idea! I'll have to write that up as a 'serving suggestion'. Hehe.

I'll come back and post the tutorial as soon as it's done. Give me a day or two.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Detachable Peter Pan Collar! - tutorial link added!!! on: August 10, 2010 08:48:52 PM
Oh gosh. I've wanted to make one of these for so long but I kept forgetting to buy some ribbon whenever I was out! Well, I've finally done it! I'm so so thrilled with the result

The only thing I don't love is where I positioned the ribbon but it's easily fixed for next time.

So, I was thinking of making up a tutorial for the collar. It would start  with showing how to draft the pattern and then how to sew it altogether. What do you think? Would you be interested?

Here is the link to the tutorial. Do I need to put it on Craftster or is the link ok? http://pinklizzysews.blogspot.com/2010/08/detachable-collar-tutorial.html

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ruffled Tee Shirt on: July 26, 2010 09:07:07 PM
Hiya! I'm not very good at clothing recons but I did this one yesterday afternoon.

I cut up a too short tee shirt and turned it into ruffles and stuck the ruffles on a cute slub tee that I bought a few weeks.

I'm going to make more ruffled tops in the next few weeks. I am obsessed with them!

GAH! So cute that I can barely stand it!

Because pj pants get so much wear and tear I think the crotch needs some pretty heavy stitching.
For the PJ pants crotch I always use the stitch that is like three straight stitches in a row ||| . And then I zig zag the edges as well.

Oh I love it! I love the shape that you've made with the darts. Gorgeous!
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Aunt Lindy's Paper Dolls on: July 25, 2010 03:08:07 PM
Thank you so much! I've never been able to stuff so evenly or neatly before so I'm very excited about this one.

Lanikins, the panels are so gorgeous and to get four dolls for something like $10 I think is a bargain!

I'm not sure that I would attach the animal to the doll next time but I really don't want it to get lost and I couldn't think of anything else to do.
