that's so lovely! a wonderful idea for a feminine top hat. may I ask how fixed it (can't think of a more appropriate word in english...) on your head? with hair pins?

oh, these are sooooo great! and the stencil-look fits the motive perfectly.
I'd love to see more like that - though Merlotte's probably not quite as funny...
all the best from a huge true blood fan

I fell in love with this dress a couple of months ago - and now lucky me found similar fabric in blue and off white for almost nothing on an italian market! and someone to support me with all further problems. I'll let you know if/when it's become true!

hi gavagai,
I think I might have an idea or two for you...
my absolute favourite is a little shop calles frau tulpe (http://www.frautulpe.de/?___store=engl_storeview&___from_store=default). it's got beautiful things and a really inspiring atmosphere.
I know of two flea markets, one is in the mauerpark (prenzlauer berg), huge thing, on sundays; the other is on the boxhagener platz (friedrichshain), smaller, more trees if I remember correctly. on both markets there are usually plenty of crafty people selling their things, so they're great places for shopping and - ahem - 'getting' ideas.
around the boxhagener platz there are plenty of restaurants who offer brunch on sundays for little money. I love to sit, eat, talk and watch people for hours...
what else...
if it is (almost) as hot as last week, you can have an urban swim at the badeschiff (http://www.arena-berlin.de/badeschiff.aspx?flagtext=Badeschiff). they charge you a few euros, but it is a lovely place to get strength in the late afternoon for the berlin night and have a first drink.
the best icecream you get near the the u-bahn station schlesisches tor, I think it's falckenstrasse, but not quite sure. anyway, you'll see the queue.
in mitte there's a lovely place to have breakfast or just coffee called strandbad mitte, and another place for a drink one with a lovely, somewhat wild garden called clrchen's ballhaus.
and if you're into strawberry daiquiri, go to a bar called erdbeer (http://erdbeerbar.de/)
that's it for now - if you have questions or are looking for something more specific just ask!

what a great idea! made me think what other molecules would be fun to wear... and that I really should have paid more attention in chemistry classes...
