1  Re: New Boho type sling bag. I'm sick of this material...lol. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sherrylee69 on: November 19, 2005 09:33:43 AM
I hope this helps!

Width on top is 11".
Bottom before curve is 12".
and H/10".
Handles is 2". Remember this is finished measurements. I'm horrible with copying a pattern. All I did was lay the leather bag on top of my fabric and went to cutting. Allowing 1/4 for seams. So it all works out for me. You'll find it is a very simple bag to make. And very cool shape. I love it.
If you need anything else let me know! GOOD LUCK!

Thank you so much.

This isn't the skipping bag...... I took one of my old favorites out of the closet and kind of copied the pattern for it. Turned out ok. I think.

Here's the original bag.

4  More bags made from yard sale finds. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sherrylee69 on: October 19, 2005 04:43:48 PM
This one I made from some quilt squares.....I used interfacing so it's quite stiff and has an inside pocket. The lining is also quilt squares and can be reversed also.

Another one.....also with inside pocket. I really liked the print on this material. The lining is soft pink.

And a wallet....I kinda got confused halfway through......but I think it still turned out kinda cute.

Thanks for looking!

5  So...I bought a bolt of camo material....... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sherrylee69 on: October 17, 2005 08:07:33 AM
I stopped at the best garage sale ever this weekend........a former employee of Hancock's fabrics! I have fabric galore! Included was a bolt (yes a whole bolt) of this camo material for two bucks! I really need to jazz them up with something as I think they are begging to be something more than they are....any suggestions?

This one I posted before on another thread.....but here it is again.

What else am I going to do with it?

7  Nephew's new messenger bag. Camo! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sherrylee69 on: October 16, 2005 11:32:02 AM
My nephew needed a new bag to take to school. (He's 8 so I think he got jealous because I had made his little sister a tote bag for school.) So I came up with this. There are pockets on the inside and also a place for pencils, pens or markers.

It looks rather crooked in the pics but I promise it's not really!

8  New jean purse, messenger bag, and cd case. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sherrylee69 on: September 26, 2005 06:19:43 PM
I've been busy! I made a cd holder with a little purse to carry the cd player in!

A messenger bag......really sturdy, I had yards and yards of this green denim laying around and finally cut into it to make this.

And my first jean bag, made from my two year olds outgrown shorts!
