1  Feraligatr in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: April 13, 2012 08:51:43 PM

There are quite a few pokemon that I get requests for from my fianc and others.  The ones with the greatest frequency are always those that are part of my party from the games.  Ever since I got SoulSilver and added Toto to my party hes been at the top of the request list.  Unfortunately, hes also been at the top of the list of those pokemon that scared me senseless.  I just couldnt see how to make him.  So, now, years after getting the game (our Feraligatr is level 75 now), I got it in my head to try him out.  Where urges like these come from no one knows, my fianc is trying to come up with some kind of formula to figure it out.  Regardless, this little guy really worked me for a while, but now that hes done I just want to hug him!
I hope you like the pattern and that your Feraligatr turns out as endearing as mine did!

2  Yoda in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: February 06, 2012 05:39:07 PM

Yoda, you seek Yoda!  *Theme of the Force starts playing*
Sorry, I had to start with a Yoda quote/flourish.  Theyre all pretty memorable and well, its Yoda.  Needless to say Beau was very excited when I started working on him.  Especially when I told him Yoda would be close to life size.  I finished him much more quickly than expected, and have already had quite a bit of fun with him.  Hes very possible (his eyelids move to give expression, as does his mouth, and his arms and legs are pretty bendable as well.  Its funny to think that three years ago I didnt even care to see Star Wars and now Im making amigurumis of it (which I also couldnt have done three years ago).  I think Beau feels a little bad for turning me to the nerd side of the force, but its hard to complain with the results.
I hope you like this pattern as much as both Beau and I do.
A video will be coming up within the next 2 weeks showing you how to assemble his head.  This way it will be easier for people to follow along with the step by step directions.

3  Mewtwo in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: February 03, 2012 07:19:47 PM

Sorry that the picture is a little fuzzy.  More are available.

This semester I don't have such a rough schedule, so I was able to work on this guy.  He has been requested by my fiance for over a year now, and I finally found the motivation to complete him.

4  Snorlax in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: January 23, 2012 07:14:33 PM

I had another one of those urges to make something simple while I complete my next BIG project.  I had my eye on this one for awhile and Beau had asked for him a couple times, so I figured why not?  He didnt take very long to finish, when started, and Beau is extremely happy with him, though he feels guilty that there was no felting involved.   I hope you enjoy this awesome little snorlax as much as he has.

5  Axew in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: January 03, 2012 05:06:24 PM

In spite of my lack of posting since doing Bowser (and schools best efforts to keep me busy) I actually managed to finish this little fella before Halloween.  Unfortunately not all of his pattern made it to the end of the semester for me to write up, so I just kind of hung on to him until I could remake the parts of him that I lost and post the whole pattern.  Hes the first of the new generation of pokemon that Ive made, so I hope you enjoy Axew!

6  Vaporeon in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: December 31, 2011 07:21:48 AM

Hello everyone, its been a while since I was able to write up a pattern for any amigurumis I make.  School kept me pretty busy this past semester and I lost some of the pattern for another pokemon I had made (Axew).  Ill try and get the other one to you soon but in the meantime, I also finished the much requested Vaporeon.  She is pretty quick to make and very posable.  I have some other big projects on the way so hopefully Ill be able to finish them before school starts again.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

7  Bowser in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: October 04, 2011 10:56:19 AM

He's finally done!  After years of pitiful pleading looks from my fiance, and months of work, I've finished my Bowser pattern.  As with everything Beau asks for this amigurmi had to have a lot of little details and since he's Bowser he had to be pretty big.

This particular Bowser is modeled off of the more recent versions of Bowser (i.e. from Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii).   I began working on him during the summer, off and on, until school started again.  This year is my last year of student teaching and I am there full time.  I have been so tired, I haven't been able to do much crocheting.  I finally found some time this weekend to finish him up.  I hope you enjoy!

8  Celebi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: August 15, 2011 07:36:23 PM

In mid-July I went on a trip with Beaus family to Williamsburg, VA.  Since the trip takes 6 hours for us to make, I of course needed something to keep myself busy while the miles flew by.  About half way into the trip I decided to start crocheting the cute little pokemon Celebi.  I didnt have the color for the wings with me but by the time we reached the hotel I had all but those wings finished on little Celebi.  After we got back, I finished my part on this pokemon and passed the burden of finishing it to Beau, who was again, a little slow.  He finished him/her up the other day and I think he/she turned out great!  Celebi sits up without propping and looks extremely cute while doing so.  Hope you enjoy the pattern

9  Lapras in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: August 08, 2011 10:20:05 AM

Its been awhile since Ive posted anything.  The past few weeks have been pretty busy and my felter was a little slow in getting me what I needed to finish this. When I started Lapras I meant for her to be a little bigger, but after showing the more compact model to my fiance, he said that he thought it made her seem more cute.  Ill let you be the judges for yourselves, but personally I like my little Lapras! : )

10  Wobbuffet in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shedko247 on: June 30, 2011 07:07:08 PM

At the same time as I was working on Buizel, I started on another Pokemon that seemed pretty easy to do.  Wobbuffet is probably amongst the most odd of pokemon, but I think his oddness makes him more endearing, plus he was alot of fun to make and pose.  He never really was one I thought I would make, but I have fallen in love with his Wobbish charm: his squinty eyes, huge bizarre grin, and his wide open arms.  (Not to mention his beaver tail).   I feel like Im sounding crazy but youll know what I mean when you make him.
