If I made a doll like that I would have a hard time giving it away. I would have to make 2 dolls.

He's Not A Vegatable! Lol, It's an octopus and no name yet Wink

As for loops, I'm not sure what a front and back loop is, I've been going through 1 loop. YO and pull through then picking up another (2 on hook) and pulling through both and that's 1 sc ..or at least that's what I saw in the video I learned from, I have 10 or so books and watched quite a few videos and they're all a little different, maybe I'm doing the sc wrong, that's what I had the most problems with.

Yikes! I didn't count all of his legs. He is  special because he's your first.
