6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Handpainted Handbags on: February 14, 2005 01:13:49 PM
Have any of you handpainted on the outside of handbags? The reason I ask is because I have recently become inspired to do some of my abstract paintings on the outside of handbags...once when I was at an arts festival I saw that an artist was doing this and the bags were just beautiful. And the person purchasing would also get an original piece of your artwork. If anyone has done this i would love to see what you'e come up with.

Have you guys ever heard of using plastic canvas (found in ALL craft stores) as a waterproof stabilizer to be used in the making of purses. You can inset into the bottom or messenger flap. I found this tip a while back and it is theee best! See pic below. It comes in many colors but I always use the white or clear and it is mucho cheapo!
