1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / SINGER 6038 on: November 03, 2005 10:39:23 PM
I am preparing to purchase my very first sewing machine- and I am leaning strongly towards a Singer 6038, just based on the reviews I have read, and the awesome prices I have found for it on Ebay.

But I am wondering if any of you know anything about this particular machine and how well it works (Keeping in mind that it will be for a beginner) Or if you just have any tips about first time sewing machine buying in general.

Thank You!!!!

2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Lightbulbs on: September 03, 2005 03:38:20 PM
And more specifically, hollowed out light-bulbs.

I received inspiration from one of the featured projects- A little light-bulb flower vase contraption.

And now I am wondering what else I could possibly create with hollowed out light-bulbs.

Suggestions?
