1  I made my first bag (a Jordy)! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lemoncandy on: May 01, 2010 12:02:24 PM
My first attempt at a bag! Made this to replace my very worn out school tote.

Took me close to three hours to figure out how to cut the fabric, size it, sew on the pockets and the handles and complete the entire thing. It looked okay in online tutorials but when I really got down to doing it, I had to be way more meticulous than I thought! But I'm really glad that it turned out well. It was great fun making this!

Big bag to lug around everything I need for school and work.

I love the large leaf print! Got this from Ikea. Black and white because it matches with everything.

The inside. Lined with $2/metre unbleached cotton from Ikea also. A pocket for my phone and another pocket for other bits and pieces. The next time I'm making a bag I'll make more pockets.

Oh and this has no closure but I like it this way.
