201  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Half Moon 45 RPM pouch on: March 02, 2009 01:46:01 AM
This is really nice looking. I might have to go searching for old terrible records to try it out myself. Looks like a perfect size too. I don't think I'd have thought of cutting the record in half.
202  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Bruce Campbell Swap! on: March 01, 2009 11:40:33 PM
Is this idea still being bandied around? Because I would totally want to be in on it.
203  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Good cotton yarn? on: March 01, 2009 09:46:50 PM
I've been wondering how apparel items made from cotton yarn would come out. I'm using some sugar n cream cotton yarn to make dishcloths right now and they are decidedly dishclothy. I love cotton clothes but I don't think I would wear the fabric this is making. I guess it can't be both cheap and good for everything!
On the other hand, Lion Brand Cotton Ease feels much nicer. I think I might wear something made from that. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2842&PRODID=prd54426
204  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: My poor finger on: March 01, 2009 09:29:37 PM
I have a problem like that too..
I hear people complain that their hand hurts.. the one holding the hook, though. My other hand is the one that starts hurting. Not a sore spot, but an ache. My little finger on my left hands gets it the worst, I think because I end up holding the yarn really tightly in only my pinky. I'm not sure how to stop!
I don't even want to imagine how much it would hurt if I were using a tough or even scratchy wool yarn.
A bandaid sounds like a good idea.
205  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: 1up mushroom baby quilt on: March 01, 2009 09:00:55 PM
This makes me want to learn to quilt. So many nintendo quilts are awesome but not really all that pretty.. but this one is a million times both! The colors are really great. I really like that it's all shades of blue instead of multicolored.
