I have everything but the big item done. Working on it everyday.

Oh I am incredibly excited! I mostly know what it is, but things like the color and pattern are so unknown...it's like Christmas.

I have finally finished your big ticket item and am working on some smaller extras. I'm shopping for the wrapping and box today, then shipping right before the deadline next week.  Grin Grin

In the hubby's car the other day (while we were out driving around - not after it had been sitting in the parking lot) the thermostate was reading 99 degrees here in Georgia!  Its no wonder I haven't been able to convince myself to go for a walk while he's at work.  Its too freakin' hot outside!  *saying that as I slurp down hot morning coffee.  But coffee's different!*  Cheesy

You're not lying I'm in GA too and dying, thank god for lakes and pools! On a crafty note, I got the rest of my supplies and after dinner me and the boy are going to watch some movies and I'll be knitting like a mad woman!

I haven't made it to a lake or a pool yet! Sad  I have a swimsuit...  and the hubby's apartment has a pool....  Ok - tomorrow or Friday...  must remove butt from computer/crafty chair and go to the pool!!!!!

So I think I announced that I finished my project for WingedSoul but I sent her a PM asking if maybe she'd like another project sent her way  Smiley Wink  And I mean, really?  Who wouldn't like another project sent their way?  Therefore I'm about to sit down and go through my scrap yarn and make the coolest         ever!  At least in my opinion.  But I think it'll be cool just because I like color!  LOTS of color!  And so does my partner!  yay!

I LOVE lots of color, too! When I hear scraps and color, I picture an awesome Lucy inspired bag.  Grin Grin

The news on my yarny front: small and medium things are mostly finished, though there is one more thing that I am going to re-make because I didn't like the first one. I can't send something I'm not happy with! Then there's the large item, which I'm working at little by little everyday. I have it probably 75-80% finished and I can't WAIT to send it off to it's new home.  Wink Cheesy

I'm back! I got my new cord in the mail this morning and have been letting the laptop charge all day.

I got SO much done while I was "disconnected."

Season 1 of Dexter + lots of yarn - computer = progress!

Just writing to let you all know that I won't be on for about a week.

The cord to my laptop had a little rip a few months ago, which I "fixed" with a good amount of electrical tape. Today I noticed that it wasn't charging, though. I took the tape off to find that the cord was in two pieces. Wow!  Angry

Anyway, I have ordered a new one which will be here next week. Can I survive without my computer for that long (it's on the last 30 mins of juice right now)? I guess I'll have to.

Thank goodness for netflix, the PS3 and my crochet hook!

Don't you just hate when you don't have enough yarn for a project (and you don't realize until you're half or more finished)? Several months ago I tried the fat bottom bag pattern with only one ball of really great vintage yarn from my grandma. I planned on doing the bag one color and crocheting a strap in a different color. I literally had about two inches to go and realized that I didn't quite have enough yarn to finish the pattern. Sad

In swap news, I've now finished the medium and I want to keep it (as does my mom). I guess I'll be making more! I've also made another small item that will be part of a set, and the main item is in the works. This swap is so much fun!! Fortunately, (or unfortunately) I already had all the yarn I needed for this swap.
