Hey, I'm sorry I'm impatient - but I haven't received any earrings at all yet so I had to find something to keep me occupied....

mommiemed pmed me that she received my earrings yesterday so I'm gonna post the picture : )

I'm so glad you all like the olives and oranges so much! You all make me happy  Grin
belleaurora and emma bo bemma - believe it or not they are made out of photo paper, packing tape and duck tape ; )  But they are sturdier than that sounds.

Krysta, they sell blank studs at Michaels but I don't know if you are accessible to that. They are basically a post with a silver circle on there to add your earring to. Maybe someone knows how to make them from scratch tho?

Surfergrl301 - you are resourceful ; ) I should have known!

134  Duct Tape Hot Pink Picture Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kaleesi on: June 26, 2005 07:04:09 AM
For my daughter's friend's birthday I made her a purse using pictures we had taken of her recently using her favorite colors of pink and purple duct tape. I added pink and purple duct tape flower key chains as an extra touch.

What do you think?

135  Re: sand dollars and sea shells in What the heck can I do with THIS? by kaleesi on: June 24, 2005 06:41:47 AM
You could cut wood into a shape and then glue on sand and then glue on the shells and/or sand dollars.
An oval shape around a mirror would be nice.
Here's what I did for a craft with the teenagers at Vacation Bible School one year.

Footprints in the sand is one of my favorite stories  Smiley
There is a really nice story that goes with the sand dollar also.

136  Harley duct tape purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kaleesi on: June 19, 2005 04:44:48 PM
I've been off work because of surgery and finally had time to post these pics...

http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/21661Harley_Purse_Back-jpg
It's a gift for a friend who has been wonderful to my daughter.
(Don't you just love someone that loves your kids?)
It's made the same as my other purses - a picture covered with contact paper and backed with plastic placemats for stability put together with duct tape. I added a chain for accent cuz it seemed to work there.
What do you think?

138  Parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook Invitation - Opinions needed!!! in Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions by kaleesi on: June 17, 2005 04:23:35 AM
Hey! My parent's 50th wedding anniversary is coming up and I am trying to venture into the world of scrapbooking (mostly digital). Scrapbooking has come a long way from just sticking pictures in a book and writing underneath them. It's kind of intimidating to me because this is such an important project. The only thing I have done so far is their invitation but it will be the first page in their scrapbook and kind of sets the whole theme. I would love your brutally honest opinion of it - My parents mean the world to me and I want this to be perfect. (Course I am doing this with no money and not much time, hence the digitalization) I will be combining a little of the traditional way too.
Well, here it is..... (some quality gets lost in making this small enough to post)

Thanks!
