1  COOKING / Dessert / Christmas Themed Space Invader Chocolates on: December 20, 2010 07:36:36 AM
I usually do video gamed themed cookies at Christmas, but I decided to try something a little different this year!  Thus-- Space invader chocolates, in festive green and red.  Cheesy

Here they are, all nicely wrapped and ready for gifting.

I was inspired by this post on instructables -http://www.instructables.com/id/Chocolate-Space-Invaders/

I didn't put any nuts in mine, nor did I actually follow the tutorial past going out and buying a Space Invaders ice cube tray.  But it seems to be a pretty straightforward process. For the chocolate I used Wilton Candy Melts in Green and Red. They were great! I was able to melt them in the microwave and they taste pretty darn good.

And here they were out of the mold, just waiting to be boxed.

I'd love to hear what you think!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Flower Print Tote Bag on: June 04, 2010 10:08:23 AM
This is a little tote bag I made my mom for her birthday. She really liked it!  I didn't use a pattern, I just sort of wing it when I make totes.

The outside fabric is actually upholstery fabric that I got on sale for $2 a metre at Fabricland. The inside is just a cotton print.

The bag in all its glory!

A shot of the inside.

Another view of the finished bag.

C&C greatly appreciated!  Smiley
