1  Totally Girlie Scarf (with cozy fleece) in Knitting: Completed Projects by candygullivy on: October 25, 2009 08:49:20 PM
I love knitting! I'm really enjoying this fall weather because of the cool temps and cozy nights where I can sit in my chair and knit while my husband and I watch Halloween movies together. Good times!
As a matter of fact, I'm a fanatic of a certain combo of colors which are:
Light Pink
Dark Pink
Light Green
Dark Green
Red
White
Black
So much in fact, that it was the color scheme for our wedding earlier this year!
ANYWHO, I wanted to create a really cute winter scarf that I could use with one side knitted, and one side with pink polar fleece.
*I used a knit on one side, and purl on the other. 25 stitches on each side, six rows per color, and I repeated the color combination a few times. I like long scarves, but the same pattern can be used to make a short one*

Any other questions, lemme know! I had lots of fun making this scarf, and I plan on making more for Christmas gifts this year. Fun fun.

2  My Very First Embroidery Project! in Needlework: Completed Projects by candygullivy on: October 24, 2009 10:05:40 PM
This is the very first time I've made anything with embroidery. My mom bought me a new book from Klutz called: "Simple Embroidery", and I love it because it's made FOR kids, so it's really easy to learn the techniques. I am trying to make all handmade gifts (in all realms of the craft world) for my family this year, so my first project is for my niece, Brooke. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'm still really new at it, and I'm not sure about how to "fill the space" with thread. I posted 4 pictures to show the progress I made through each of the layers.

I really hope I posted this correctly!!!
