1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / How to finish armholes without completely hand-sewing? on: October 13, 2013 04:10:04 PM
Hi!

I'm making a steampunk-style reversible vest for an ex-coworker for their Halloween costume, and I'm kind of confused as to how to finish the armholes on the vest without hand-sewing them entirely. The pictures below illustrate how much I've put together so far. The bottom is still left open and un-sewed, as are the armholes, but the whole top and sides have been sewn up.

Help please?
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Alice: Madness Returns top help? on: July 08, 2011 11:00:46 PM
I'm trying to make this outfit Alice wears in Alice: Madness Returns. It all seems pretty easy to make, I'm just having problems finding a good pattern for the shirt she wears under her dress. It's basically just a plain white blouse with a high neck and short, poofy sleeves. :3 Any ideas?

Here's a reference picture:

Thanks in advance! Cheesy
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / T-Shirt Reconstruction on: October 24, 2010 06:21:47 PM
I've got this nice dark gray t-shirt with a lovely lighter gray graphic in the top corner/on the right shoulder. It's an adult small, which is just a little too big for me (I'm kind of small). I'd like to make it fit, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I don't know if I just want to bring it in a little so that it's girly fitting, or if I want to do some kind of cool cut up design thingy, or some kind of gathering somewhere, or blah, blah, blah.

So I'm looking for ideas. I don't want anything too busy or cut-up (I don't like clutter or showing lots of skin).

Please help me brainstorm/decide!! There's too many possibilities! (I'm a very indecisive person.) Smiley

Thanks!!  Grin
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Avatar Swap! on: April 26, 2010 06:39:41 PM
So, I saw Avatar for the first time yesterday, and I must say... It is THE BEST movie I have EVER seen in my ENTIRE life!! I've fallen in love with it!!

I think it would be great to host a swap for it!

I personally wouldn't be hosting or anything, but I'm just throwing this idea out there. I don't know if it's been suggested before... but I thought I'd post something anyway.
