I've gotten a really good response from people so far. My actual invitations, however, will be physical paper items. I'm thinking silkscreening... whew, so much stuff to make!

I found my venue through the local boards on The Knot. You should definitely check it out!  We wanted 10-10-10 as well, but had to change to get the venue we wanted. We were originally looking for a place like you described, but we ended up falling in love with this beautiful Japanese garden in Lodi (northern california) wine country. It has an events hall right next to it, and best of all they are both part of the parks system so it was super cheap! I found that almost everywhere I looked was booked for 10-10-10

I'm planning to do a LOT of diy'ing for my wedding, both for budget reasons and so that we can have the type of ceremony that works for US. This is the first thing I can check off my list- video save the date that reflects our personalities. I know emailed save the dates are taboo, but as two girls getting married we're not too concerned with etiquitte or tradition anyway. I definitely had to use my crafty skills to create this!
