15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / doll hair for a soft scuplture doll on: September 14, 2011 08:56:05 AM
well i'm still a beginner at doll making and i've been making a doll with run ( the dollmaker's) pattern. and i was wondering if there was any alternative to yarn? and if it could be a straight almost realistic type hair?  and how i would go about this?

( info on my doll, to give you a bit of a background for help, she's a gothic sort of punky dolly. sort of based of this image http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=483476&ppuser=215808. the clothing will all be scrap based and she's got a firm base of calco and terry ontop for skin)
