11  Re: Newbie Swap Round 13 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by krissy-poo on: July 22, 2010 10:42:44 PM
I was so excited when I got home and had a package from Scarlet!! I squeed a little. Ok a lot. It was kinda like Christmas. Here's my pics:

the box it came in. yes I took a pic. I have never heard of cool cups so it amused me lol.

everything all neatly wrapped with notes Smiley

a cute beaded anklet with a kitty charm (my photo skills are not great). also please ignore my hairy legs and bug bites.

some melba, which I assume is the same as jam(?) made from peaches and strawberries from Scarlet's garden! This will be on my toast in the morning!

the kitties became very interested in the box at this point...

a tshirt inspired by an embroidery on my wist! LOVE! done in...fabric paint/markers? can I wash this?

awesome tree of life canvas. Scouting out a place to hang it.

apparently this started as a bag and evolved into a blanket! It's SATINY, which I loveee...had to spread it on the floor to get a good pic, and I couldn't get the cats off it long enough lol

this one shows the purple (yes, purple!) satin on the back, as well as the cats enjoying it immensely.

the whole package. with some delicious sweets I have never heard of, that are mostly devoured already.

Oh and Scarlet, the kitties thank you for their new toy:

(he's bigger than that box. I have no idea how he got in there.)

Having serious swap anxiety now! Scarlet I am mailing yours tomorrow, I hope you like yours as much as I like mine! Sorry to be so pic heavy, I was just excited!!

12  Some projects I've done... in Needlework: Completed Projects by krissy-poo on: June 16, 2010 08:27:33 AM
Hey all...never posted on this board before. Cross stitch was one of the first crafts I got into when I was about 11, and though most of my projects were given as gifts, I decided I'd post some pics of ones I did that are still hanging around. None of them are framed or "finished" so to speak. They've been living in a box since I last moved. Finishing suggestions are welcome Smiley I'd like to do something rather than just frame them. Anyway without further adieu, here we go!

a tiny flamingo I did in an afternoon

pooh bear Smiley

a victorian style house surrounded by flowers. at the time I did it, was my largest (or at least most time consuming) project. so many colors!

another pooh bear...I had a phase.

wee willy winky. I'm super proud of this one, I wasn't sure about the colors when I was doing it but it all came together at the end.

close up of the top half of wee willy winky to show house and text detail.
c&c welcome! and as I said if you have suggestions of what to do with them I like those too!

13  Total Newbie Post! [tawashi] in Crochet: Completed Projects by krissy-poo on: June 08, 2010 08:52:58 AM
So I am relatively new to craftster, joined about a month ago and have been mostly lurking. I crochet and stencil shirts, cross-stitch and make the odd jewelry piece...I am currently working on a big crochet project that I wanted to take a break from, so I decided to try my hand at some spiral tawashi I have seen on the boards. Not much for my first post but once I am sure I know how to post properly I will post more! My tawashi aren't super round like ones I have seen...any tips from those who have made them?

(Apparently I am not allowed to post a pic until I have posted 10 times!)
