Day 1!:

*Will I be using these bags year-round?  YES!  One has all of the hand-made items and the other has all of the store-bought items, so I can pick what kind of super-awesome gift I want each day!

Day 2:

A jar of "spooky treats"...what could they be??

Candycorncandypumpk ins...OMGWTFBBQ!

Day 3:

Day 4:

How cool is this jewelry set?  It's something that I would never buy or make for myself.  This is beautiful and I want to go somewhere nice so I can wear it and feel very glam Smiley

Day 5:

My stash gift Smiley  Lots of pretty brown stones, very autumn...I can't wait to play with them!

Day 6:

Day 7:

Eeek!  How cute is this?

Day 8:

Day 9:

Well, now I just need a stove! Cheesy

Day 10:

Two little bear figurines...they have a spring between their legs and bodies so they bobble!

Day 11:

Spoooky headstones!

Day 12:

Little tin, what could it be?

Sewing kit!

Day 13:

Beautiful Halloween cards!

THANK YOU!!!!

2  Starry Starry Charm Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by funkypork on: August 13, 2010 09:25:54 AM
So I just got a whole bunch of beads and whatnot from a gal on craigslist and many of them were cubes, which I didn't know quite what to do with...but these blue ones made me think of Starry Starry Night by Van Gogh...or more accurately...the episode of Doctor Who with Van Gogh Grin

Anyway, it's my first charm bracelet ever.  I rather liked making it even though it took a while and my fingers hate me a little!

Received my package in all of its soupy goodness in the mail today!  Sorry the pictures are blurry, my camera hates me.

Lookie at the oval charm thingies...and the yellow beads that I just realized I wanted a few days ago (iliveonarainbow can read minds!!).  Sopretty.

I'm in love with many of the things in this photo.  The flat blue beads, the shiny dark blue beads, the itty bitty FISH bead and my green and orange bracelet and earrings.

Thank you!!  I'm going to go play now Cheesy

My last two Sad

"I used to work for the cable company.  When customers would be complete ASSHOLES, I would shut their digital equipment down for a few minutes.  They ALL deserved it!  I'm a personal, too!" (It's just a TV!!)

(back) "Maybe those people should:
-Pay their bill
-Stop using the TV as a babysitter
-Realize the world does NOT revolve around them."

"I still don't have the courage to tell my parents that I don't plan to finish college."

6  Dwarf (yet to be named) in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by funkypork on: June 21, 2010 04:33:25 PM

My first time competing in any kind of challenge...I found a list online of mythical creatures and thought a dwarf would be fun to do.  He looks a bit too much like Gimli from LOTR, but then again, so did many of the drawings I saw from dwarves, so maybe they don't have a lot of genetic diversity.  Dwarfs are miners by trade, and this one is such a hard worker, he broke his pickaxe Grin

I made him for the first deadline, but when I saw that it had been extended, I put off taking the photos.  Sorry they're blurry, my camera is old and apparently hates me.

8  four bracelets, two made with buttons! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by funkypork on: May 12, 2010 02:40:59 PM
I spent two years at this great Americorps program called City Year and made four really great friends while I was there.  Unfortunately, now we are separated by distance, so I tried to make them all pretty bracelets that captured their personalities.

Crys is obsessed with button bracelets, so I made one for her.  There's tons of empty space, too, for her to add charms and beads from her collection of broken jewlery Smiley

Jeni loves the Starfish Story (http://www.ordinarypeoplechangetheworld.com/articles/the-starfish-story.aspx).

Michelle is a total hippie.  The chain is a broken necklace tied into knots in between the beads.  I found the shell at the beach.

In all honesty, Megyn got this one because the button bracelet I tried to make her foiled me three times.  But this is definitely something that all of us agreed is totally Megyn.

Sorry about the long-winded story behind the bracelets!

9  two antique-looking avian-themed necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by funkypork on: April 22, 2010 01:00:10 PM
Hello, I'm brand new and here are a few things I've made recently Smiley

My owl necklace:

The leaves and beads were a pair of earrings on clearance at Claire's.  I got the chain and owl from Michaels.  This is typically not my style, but I love it.  I put longer links on the owl so it dangled a bit more freely.

Bird necklace:

I made this for my friend, Rachel.  Same chain from Michaels.  I had Rachel choose what charms she wanted from a little bag of bird charms I purchased.

Thanks for looking!
