1  Tulle Time! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Kpoet on: September 14, 2011 07:13:20 PM
I'm always on here looking at what people make and getting ideas of things to try while I teach myself to sew. My daughter saw this skirt, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=298574.0  and told me she had to have one, so I made one.

I am happy with it and so is my daughter but I thought it would look cute a bit shorter and fuller so I did both layers from the original tute, left out the ruffle hem, and used a ribbon sewn to a piece of elastic in the waistband.

I LOVE how this one came out, and while I doubt I'll be going anywhere near tulle again for quite awhile, I think I could do even better if I ever made one again.

2  Princess outfit complete with princess in CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES by Kpoet on: July 07, 2010 11:50:43 AM
This is my first challenge entry but hopefully not my last. I saw this sheet at the thrift store and thought it would make cute Pj's. When I got it home my daughter told me it was princess fabric so I decided to make her a summer outfit with it.

Here is the front:

The back:

A closer look at the back of the shirt:

I'm not sure what to tell you about it other than I made the pants by tracing out an existing pair that fit her well and the top is just kinda put together by trial and error (more error though).

3  I did it! Duct tape double. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Kpoet on: June 18, 2010 11:00:49 AM
I finally convinced my husband to help me make the duct tape dress form. I am thrilled with how perfect the measurements are, even if it looks a bit wonky! Now I just have to wait for him to help me figure out how to mount it!

What do you guys think?

4  Finally got the courage to post in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Kpoet on: April 16, 2010 09:13:44 AM
I've been hanging around here for months while I teach myself to sew and figure it's about time I share something.
This is a halter and skirt set I made for my daughter out of an oversized womens plaid vest.

So what do you think?
