2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / MYO Furniture on: February 22, 2005 11:36:32 AM
Has anyone ever made their own furniture??  I'm talkin like couches and love seats, side tables and coffee tables, entertainment centers and weird wall shelves?  I get this catalog form West Elm every few months or so and I am obsessed with the stuff they have in there.  Only thing is I don't want to pay that much $$ for the furniture when it looks like I can make it my self.  If anyone wants to see what I am talking about you can go to www.westelm.com and check out the furniture.  Anyhoooo, anyone ever done anything like this and have any tips or tricks?  Especially for the cushions and appolstery.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / This is kinda weird on: February 22, 2005 11:31:24 AM
Okay, this might be a little weird.  I've got these tins from General Foods International Coffees like the French Vanilla Cafe.  I love those tins but I cannot find a use for them.  I wanted to paint them or something, but still don't know what to do with them.  Anyone have any suggestions?Huh

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Okay, Ima newbie, with kinda a dumb question on: February 18, 2005 11:46:52 AM
This embroidery stuff you guys do, how do you do it?  I LOVE the stuff you guys have done and would like to get into it myself, but haven't the slightest clue of where to start.  Is it freehand or machine?  I can tell that a some of it has been done on a machine, but the ones that are like the outline are those freehand?  And if so, how do you do it?  Any sites that have tutes or anything.  Would love some help.  Thanks a mil.
