I made this cushion cover for the lovely Petskin in my first swap.



Petskin's love of unusual and creepy animals was very inspiring, so I embroidered an adorable slender loris onto a piece of calico  Cheesy At this point I felt the balance was a bit off, so I added in the beautiful Estonian word nn with the double meaning of luck/happiness. Although my embroidered text needs a little work  Undecided


Then finished it off by piping around the edge with skinny piping I made from a silk scarf; and layered black & white vintage fabrics on the back. I also put in a zipper which had awesome b&w zigzag tape, so I left it exposed.


The calico was whiter in person, I was taking photos in the dark  Roll Eyes


I am now hooked on Slender Lorises.... and swapping!! Thanks for looking  Cheesy  Cheesy

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mustard Merino Crochet Sweater... mmmm on: June 09, 2012 04:51:28 PM
I had a load of this unbranded merino which I picked up for a steal due to a streaky dye-lot, in a gorgeous mustard colour. It probably took me around three weeks working sporadically to crochet this up, using 8ply it came together pretty fast.
I used the Jumper pattern from Panda's Modern Vintage pattern book, tweaking the sleeve shape and length also shortening the body to more of a cropped length.


I think it turned out pretty sweet, and is lovely in the cold weather we've been having.
The colour probably lies somewhere between the two images   Wink

I needed gifts for lady friends and family, so whipped up these wallets using scraps from my vintage and random fabric stash. They came together really fast and it was fun putting together rad fabric combo's. I think they turned out pretty great, the snaps making them look super professional. Each recipient has remarked on how often they get lovely comments at checkouts!  Cheesy





I used different coloured or pearly snaps to close them.



Places for cards, cash and a coin department on the inside. Inside is also where the colour combos come alive.
