491  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: `*Bag & Bracelet Swap*` Gallery on: June 25, 2005 06:17:46 AM
Wow. Thanks everybody!  Honestly, this is first lined purse I have ever made.  I was so intimidated to join this swap, but I'm glad I did.  I had so much fun making everything and I learned a lot.

Thanks again,
492  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Quilt. Froggy style! on: June 21, 2005 03:36:44 PM
Thanks everyone!  I used my scraps to make a pillow for my dog.  Now I just have to wait for someone else to have a baby so I can make another one.  It was a lot of fun to make.

494  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My First Quilt. Froggy style! on: June 19, 2005 03:59:30 PM
I made my first quilt in about 10 hours.  Most of that time was spent thinking...pulling out my hair .. and second guessing myself.  But I am very happy with the result.  I made it for my cousin's baby-to-be.  My cousin and her husband love exotic frogs and I'm sure their baby will too.  The pictures do not show the colors properly ,but you  get the idea.

I too will be on vacation.  I leave on July 5th and will return
July 27.

lucky! where are you going for so long?

My husband and I are going to Italy for 11 days.  It's out first time.  We are very excited.    2 days after that I have to go to my cousin's bridal shower in New York.  2 days after that, my mother and I are going to California to visit family.  I'm sure the jetlag and time changes will be insane.  I can't wait for it all to begin!
497  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Gross stuff party for a birthday...help on: May 29, 2005 09:58:03 PM
The following dishes were a big hit at my Halloween party.

1. BRAIN - You can buy a jello mold in the shape of a BRAIN at party supply stores.

2. DIRT MIX smashed chocolate cookies, chocolate pudding, gummy worms, and gummy bugs.
Pour it into a Beach Pail and serve with a shovel.  Stick a fake flower in the middle.

3. SPAGHETTI BRAINS - Put spaghetti with sauce on a platter.  Place a mask or a picture of a human head below the spaghetti.  It will look like the brains are oozing out of the head.

4. FINGER DIP - Just get a bowl of dip and have 5 carrots sticking out of the middle.  Attach almonds to the tips of the carrots to look like finger nails.

5. BERT BOTTS EVERY FLAVOR BEANS - Check your local candy store for these gross Harry Potter jelly beans.  They come in flavors like Vomit, Soap, Grass, Etc.

You could fill it with a DVD, BlockBuster gift card, microwave popcorn, movie theater candy, hot cocoa, etc.
500  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: super simple felt cell phone cozy! NOW with tutorial on: May 06, 2005 04:26:47 PM
Thanks for the tutorial.  I made some too!

For my cell phone.

And I modified the tutorial a bit and made this one to hold my smokes, ID, and some cash.  I hate holding these things when I go to a club, so I'll just attach this to my belt loop.
