2  Tow Mater truck from the Disney Pixar movie Cars in Halloween Costumes by CraftyCarrie on: November 04, 2010 08:41:13 PM
I made this costume for my 2 year 9 month old son. It is Tow Mater, the tow truck from the Disney Pixar movie, Cars. He LOVES "Car Movie" more than anything else in the world!  I used this post ...  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=204690.0 ... as inspiration, but I mostly made it up as I went along.  My son LOVES his costume!  He continues to wear it, even though Halloween is gone.  It's soft and billowy, like a pillow.  BTW ... He originally wanted to be Lightening McQueen, but I was all out of red fabric. Undecided

3  Children's Art Center (on a closet door) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by CraftyCarrie on: August 16, 2010 08:48:29 PM
My son's room had an ugly lacquered closet door right next to his drawing table.
My husband and I came up with this solution.

I covered the door with Dry-Erase/Whiteboard contact paper. ($3.50 per roll from Christmas Tree Shoppe)

We attached 6 metal bars ($2 each from Ikea) to the outside of the door.

The blue pocket chart is holding flashcards. (both available at Target for $1 and $2, respectively)

We used plastic hooks, buckets, a metal basket.  ($1 - $6 each from Ikea)

He's only two and a half now, so we filled the buckets with some toys.  The buckets will eventually hold his crayons, markers, paints, brushes, etc.

I don't know if I'll ever tell him that it's a whiteboard.

Since we've had no communication from CostumeMistress, I figured I'd post a picture of what I sent her.  I made her a Twilight bookmark.

I got these 2 from BioformCallie.  I really like the scroll/map.  Very clever.

This one is from BeadedByAmy.  I'm not too familiar with floss and beading, so I really appreciate this one.   I love the circle patterns you drew as well.

Thank you so much ladies!!!
