4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Collection display on: June 24, 2010 01:39:31 PM
I created my own display for my Pokemon items since they were getting overcrowded and looked so disorganized.

This is before:

This is after:

And this is just one of the shelves by itself:

All I used was 1 inch poly styrene foam and CA foam glue. I measured the shelf they're sitting on and then measured out the foam of that side. Allowed for 4 1/2 inches of shelf space per tier and then made each shelf 2 inches high. I then covered it with $1 fabric from Walmart and used satin pins to hold it on there. Super easy and effective and made it look so much better.
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / A butterfly keychain. on: April 12, 2010 10:24:40 AM
I used to make these all the time when I was younger. I was sitting there playing with beads with the 6 year old, and decided to make her one.

I may make some more of them later on. They're so fun to do.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / The revamped playroom on: April 12, 2010 10:13:41 AM
This is the third time I've tried to post this, for some reason my computer is being testy. I recently decided to redo the playroom, because it just looked too plain to me and the organization wasn't working very well. It's almost done (just need to paint the walls, get a new and better play kitchen set, and hang up the flannel board that I made (which I can show you if you want)). I decided to show you all the pictures of it, since I'm so proud.

This is what it used to look like except it's usually more messy, this was the day after I cleaned it.

This is after I redecorated it.

A side note: the paints I use for the girls are tempera paints, but watered down by 50%. They still work the same, but dry faster and clean up a lot easier.

And some of the artwork that I hung up (and one of the three year old learning to cut since I'm proud of her) most of the artwork/paper crafts were my own idea, so if you would like to know how I did them, I'll write up a tutorial. They're really not that hard though.

After taking the pictures, I re-hung the artwork because I didn't realize they were within reach of the children until I found them on the floor. So they are now hung like this:

And the rainbow and brown bunnies (even though they look like reindeer a little bit) are still hung where they were, but here's another picture of them.

And that's it.
