Oh my god, I'm done with my semester from hell! Since we're starting a placement on the 27th, we had a compressed 6 weeks semester and it was just plain crazy! But now, I have a whole week off and I'll have a much time as I need to finish my hoop (it's around 3/4 done, but I haven't worked on it for around 2 weeks)!!

Oh, and my placement is with kids with mental disabilities, I can't wait, it's gonna be awesome! Occupational therapy rocks 

Can't wait to have enough time to sit down again with my hoop and finish it! I think I'll make a point of working on it for at least a couple of hours this weekend... after I'm done with my schoolwork!

Oh my god, I hope I don't have hesitations when I finish my hoop, you're all making me anxious 

I had A LOT of hesitation in choosing the colors though! The patterns has a kind of color palette with gradations of the same color, and I mix and matched everything I could from my statch of floss. I ended up picking colors that I wouldn't have picked normally, starting, not liking the background color, changing for another canvas and then, shazam! I personally love it (and my boyfriend likes it too), so I hope canamharris will love it too!

Does anyone else find it hard as well...I really find it hard to write down my patterns when I crochet I get in a zone and just don't do it. Or maybe it's just me

It's not just you! I find it really hard too to write the pattern as I go along! I always forget to do it and then I don't remember what I did...  But still... I have a close friend who's a complete fan of the serie, so if you end up writing the pattern for Sheldon, I would definitely use it! 

Started working on my hoop yesterday! I had planned to do a 6-7 inches hoop, but in the end, it will have to be 8 inches! I didn't want to switch to a 18-count Aida just to fit in a smaller hoop. 14-count is wayyyy better for my eyes! And why do it smaller when you can do it bigger?  

It's going to take a lot (a lot) of stitching, but that's ok, I love cross-stitching and I don't do enought of it normally!  

Ok, back to stitching!

I have like 5 ideas right now and am having a really hard time narrowing it down to what I want to do! I just keep pulling up my idea images and picking one then changing my mind 5 seconds later. 3 front runners right now but just don't know what to choose!!

Yay! I can't wait to see what I end up with!  
I have to mix different patterns for my idea, but I think I found exactly all the patterns I was looking for! Can't wait to really start working on my hoop!   Sadly, it won't be this week because of school stuff but I hope to be able to get at least part of it done during the weekend (crossing fingers)!

I have an AWESOME idea for my hoop! I just hope I'll be able to put it together... It involves a lot of tweeking and thinking about the pattern! I hope I find time to do the planning tonight... after homework (sigh!) Can't wait to be done with school!

Does the silhouette and negative space theme means that it all has to be the same colour (like one colour thread and one for the background)??

I haven't posted in soooo long... and I made some cool things since last time

This is a pair of socks that I made as a custom order. First time I sold to anyone on Internet! It's on the same idea as my "simplified Link" hat, but it's a "simplified Professor Layton" pair of socks!

I made the pattern for the simplified Layton using my simplified Link as a base and modifying it until it looked like professor Layton. And I mixed it with a simple pattern for a pair of socks. I added the zig-zags to give it a little bit more fun! The colors were chosen by the person who ordered.
