About a year ago, I was wandering in a yarn store when I found a very beautiful pair of fair isle mittens made with a varigated yarn and a solid colored yarn. I fell in love with the look of it and I wanted to make a pair for myself. I chose the varigated yarn in pink, beige and brown-purple and purple for the solid color. I found a fair isle mittens pattern on Drops design (link to the free pattern: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/pattern.php?id=5318&lang=en
I made the first mitten and then it went in my unfinished project bin (I do that a lot with socks and mittens
). I picked it up this week and I'm happy to have finished!!
Here is a picture of the mittens, I love both the pattern and the yarns I used!
The pattern for the inside of the mittens.
Here is a close-up of the beautiful yarns!
These mittens are gonna keep me warm all winter!
Now, what to do with the leftover yarn? Matching hat?
