13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another Dinosaur Swap? on: September 15, 2005 01:45:08 PM
I was just looking around the old swap galleries and came across the dinosaur swap. I remember really wanting to take part in that one, but missing it by days. While looking through the thread I saw that a handful of people would be interested in another round. Is anyone still interested?

Here's a link to the main thread ... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=34428.0

14  New York / New York: Central / Would you like to advertise in my yearbook? on: September 09, 2005 01:14:04 PM
I'm not quite sure if this should be here, but I wanted all the New Yorkers to see it.

I'm going to be helping with my highschool's yearbook this year and part of my job is to find people who'd like to put an ad in it. I know that there are lots of you selling your art&crafts. It can be really hard trying to get people to hear of your business/goods. This is open to any business, though. If you'd be interested at all, please PM me. (I can get you prices, sizes, etc)

I'm located in Red Hook, NY. This is not the one in the city. I'm an hour from Albany and 15 minutes from Kingston.

15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Robot Swap Round Two Gallery on: August 29, 2005 05:33:57 PM
Seeing as how we have four people who sent out and one who received, I decided to start up the gallery. So post all of those robot pics!
16  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Let's Party Like It's The ... CD Swap (Closed ; Sendout 9/4) on: August 21, 2005 08:26:57 PM
Swap name: Let's Party Like It's The ... CD Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: flrtingwdisaster
Sign-up date range: August 21 - August 27
Date to send item by: September 4

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): No

Non-U.S. participants allowed? Yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: Yes

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: Yes

The Four Requirements
1 You need to have been a Craftster member for at least 1 month to participate in a swap. This includes organizing or participating in a swap.

2 You need to have posted at least 15 times on Craftster.

3 If you have never swapped on Craftster before, you can only sign up for ONE swap to start out with. Then when you complete that swap and get Positive Feedback, you can sign up for as many others as you want. (But don't sign up for more than you can handle!)

4 If you've neglected to fulfill your part in a past swap, you're not allowed to join any more until you fulfill those obligations. (This information is recorded in your Profile.)

Details of swap:
Basically, you will pick two (or more) decades that you would like a CD crafted for. Each swapper will make two CDs with ten songs each. It would be neat to try and get a popular song of each year of the decade. (If wanted, you can have more than 10 songs, but no less.)

Also, it would be neat to write a little side note of why you chose the song you did. For instance, if your partner chose a decade you loved or were alive in, then you might want to say that you used to listen to it all the time (or something along those lines).

The sendout date doesn't have to be set in stone. If anyone feels it's not long enough, then PM me. Speaking of sending out ... If you're having trouble naming the CD, you can call it "Let's Party Like It's The 70s" if your partner chooses the 70s.

For examples look at this website ... http://www.inthe90s.com/generated/toptensongs1.shtml

17  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / "Let's Party Like It's The [insert decade] CD Swap" on: August 18, 2005 08:26:07 AM
I don't think I've seen a CD swap quite like this before, and I thought it would be cool. I wouldn't mind organizing, so I'm just looking for interested swappers. I was thinking of calling it "Let's Party Like It's The ... CD Swap". So if you chose the 80s, then your CD would be called "Let's Party Like It's the 80s".

Basically anyone interested could pick two (or more) decades that they would like a CD crafted for. Each swapper would make two CDs with ten songs each. It would be neat to try and get a popular song of each year of the decade. And I was thinking it might be cool to have two partners for this. That would mean you get one CD from two different people, and you would send out two CD's.

Also, it would be neat to write a little side note of why you chose the song you did. For instance, if your partner chose a decade you loved or were alive in, then you might want to say that you used to listen to it all the time (or something along those lines). For examples look at this website ... http://www.inthe90s.com/generated/toptensongs1.shtml

Would anyone be interested?

20  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / exchange a book swap on: June 03, 2005 05:28:53 PM
there are a lot of book swaps out there that have to do with making things from book themes ... but has anyone on here every swapped books? maybe i'm just crazy, but i think it would be a cool idea to have a swap where everyone exchanges their favorite book or just a book they enjoyed reading (it could be based on a certain topic) and then by a certain date everyone could send the book back to their partner. would anyone be interested?
