2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / An awesome way to create an arch on: July 10, 2009 07:17:07 AM
My good friend is getting married under a tree in October (in LaCrosse, WI = beautiful, but cold, cold, cold.).  I found this great idea for an arch and we're both in love with it.
It doesn't seem too difficult to create if you buy enough fabric, but I'm not sure what kind to buy.  Do you think this is tulle?  Or do you have any other ideas about what would work well?

I've never tried it myself, but I've heard you can run a sheet of paper through a sewing machine without thread to make it perforated.

This looks awesome!  Did you just paint right over the top of the old finish?  Did you sand it first?  What kind of paint did you use?

Someday (soon?) I'll get married.  And I think I'll copy you, if that's ok.  This is so amazing!  Who ever heard of a program that serves THREE purposes?  Cooling, informing, entertaining.  I love it.

10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / I need help choosing different types of tea for a gift basket. on: December 02, 2008 09:31:24 AM
I would like to give a couple of my girlfriends gift baskets with tea in them for Christmas, but I don't know anything about tea (if I'm posting in the wrong place, feel free to move this).  What are good types of tea for things like energizing, relaxing, detoxing, warding off illness, or any other cool effects that I don't know about.  Hopefully that makes sense.  Any help is greatly appreciated!  Smiley
