1  Re: The All Things Oz Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by asile153 on: November 18, 2008 09:22:01 AM
I don't really have any pics, myself, but some Google searching has turned up a couple of good ones.

The house where she lived, where the museum is now

Old Central School (You can see a little of the Yellow Brick Road in the Corner)

Signs

This might be the best photo.  The sign that is now outside the Judy Garland Museum.  It used to say the dates the slippers would be there, but now it says...

2  Mugatu and Katinka in Halloween Costumes by asile153 on: November 10, 2008 08:58:20 AM
The pic is blurry, but its the best one of the night with both of us.

Neither of our costumes are super crafty, but they are all thrifted.  I cut out and sewed the letters on his sweater and made the corsett-thinger.

People didn't really know who I was unless I was standing next to him, but he looked amazing.  Better in person than in the pic.

3  A Slutty Oven Mit?? in Halloween Costumes by asile153 on: August 15, 2008 09:19:49 AM
Ok..maybe not slutty, but I've been wracking my brain and can't think of any possible way to make an oven mit costume the least bit sexy.

I have a lot of ideas for coupley Halloween costumes, but my latest and greatest is my boy going as Subway's Jerad (Easy AND cheap to make) and Me going as Arby's Oven Mit guy.  As much as I dislike the whole sexifying of Halloween costumes thing, I've gone out in frumpy costumes and feel like an idiot next to the scantily clad nurses and schoolgirls.  The only way I can think to make an oven mit costume is just making a big sack and wearing it over my head...not very flattering.

Any ideas?

A very nicely done, but very unsexy, oven mit:
EDIT: I guess I didn't make it clear that I DID NOT make this costume.  It just showed up when I google image searched "oven mit costume" or something.  I would feel horrible taking credit for this, because it is really awesome.
