1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: November 04, 2010 11:57:14 AM
Hello there, i just thought i'd add in what I've done for my boyfriend over the past year and a half Smiley
these may have been mentioned already but here goes!
-for his birthday last year i bought a heart puzzle and drew a cartoon version of us on one side and a cute on the other and stuck THAT in a "casual" envelope for him to put together.
-For christmas i got him a calendar of his favorite book as a little kid, we'd just watched the movie together.
-For our one year, well i went all out lol i made him an envelope book with 8 envelopes containing cute little surprises (one was a collage of our movie tickets with hand written little anectodes and memories) and on each envelope was a letter in the corner, eventually spelling I love you Smiley, in another envelope was a "Silly reasons why i love you" list (EX: the fact that he stuffed some red lobster biscuits in his pocket for me once XD)
-Now this one was for my chick best friend but when i showed him he fell in love with it and almost didn't give it up: a crochet chocolate chip cookie pillow. SO! i'll make sure to make him some sort of food pillow in the future. i mean. guys+food+comfort= Cheesy
Plus i need a little help.
his birthday's in a few days and so far i'm creatively stumped. I'm going storebought this year i guess but i still wanted a personal touch he'd like so what i came up with was: i took three pictures of myself wearing these little shorts he loves on me. in photo number one i'm holding a sign saying "Baby i know you love these shorts *insert arrow here*" photo number 2: "so here's a nice view...*insert playful attempt at sexy here*
photo number 3: "But i just wanted to say happy birthday and...*"
photo number 4: i'm laughing cuz i wrote "I loves you" on my tummy lol he likes my tummy. even if it's not six pack rock hard abs Tongue
Anyways. I'm kinda stuck on how to present it....halp please?
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Pizza Box :D on: July 09, 2010 08:55:35 AM
Hey guys. Well first post in the paper section Cheesy
So! I'm really disorganized with any and all art supplies, especially my coloring pencils and pastels and such. Plus i always just dump everything in my purse and hope for the best.
I love the vintage look on things so i decided to make a pencil pouch,
the pencil pouch turned into a pizza box (inspired by a tutorial right here on craftster)
and eventually i drew the following retro pic on it:

aged it a bit with tea and cinnamon....
and i got this:

and here it is full and open and travel size Cheesy

I love how it turned out, i'll probably end up making more vintagey boxes since this one was fun to make Cheesy
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Purple & Cream Tea Set :D w/ breakfast tray! (picture chunkeh) on: June 21, 2010 03:56:32 PM
Well yeah the patterns mine Smiley
Oh! except for the cookies. they're simple but out of Tasty Crochet.
I just made it all up as i went along and this tea set's pretty tiny. The teapot is about as big as....an onion or...my fist. I'm currently making a bigger different version for my sisters so i'll probably write that one up as i go along and try to recreate the one above (in much cuter different colors Cheesy) and when i do i'll definitely post Smiley

Holy awesome! These are great, I love everything! How much yarn did it all take?

First off thank ya all for the great comments (including the developmental idea, i really like Cheesy) and i used about 5 oz of cream and about 5 oz of purple. Imagine my frustration when i was on my last piece, purple runs out and i have no ride for a week >.<
but yeah ty Cheesy

Helloo guys, so!
I've been crocheting up a storm since school let out and i am proud to say i finished a little crochet tea set for my 2 year old niece to match her new little playhouse.
I'm really proud of this and the excess pics probably give that away Cheesy

The whole set includes:
-Little breakfast tray
-Teapot
-Lil Milk Jug
-Sugar bowl WITH removable lid and a mound of crochet sugar XD
-2 cups, with 2 saucers
-I really didn't know what to call it and it started out as a bread basket but man..a blueberry muffin and chocolate chip cookies looked a lot cuter than toast Cheesy

And here it is together:

The teapot and milk jug:

The tray:

Sugar bowl and cups:

"Bread" basket:

.....i just included this one Cheesy:

Sorry for alllllthe pics i was just excited lol
It took me about 2 or so weeks to finish this and i made it all up as i went along. i had fun and NOW my sisters have requested a bad ass (can i say ass? oh well) tea set for their pirate tea party. thanks for lookin! Cheesy
