beckashell, fingerpistol thank you so much ^_^  It was a fun painting to do!

shinydemon- I am so glad to hear you like your package, thanks for being such an awesome partner!  I had so much fun!

I do have one last photo for you, the day I packed the crafts for mailing, my friend was over with her dog.  The dog pulled Hobbes out of the box and thus started a long and drawn out battle.  I can only imagine Hobbes' horror in being beaten up by such a small dog...

Package received!!!!!  Tons of pictures!!!!!
WOOOOO  Thank you so much shinydemon!!!!!!!

Hobbes with a cool hat!  The charm collar below came with him, I took it off to get a better photo.

An artist trading card with an authentic G.R.O.S.S. bottlecap award.  Too cute, what a great idea!

Back of the artist trading card

This bracelate/collar rocks!  How she was able to cut out such intricate pieces for each charm out of the plastic leaves me baffled.

Close up!

The big whammy of 'em all.  This is a scrapbook style manual to G.R.O.S.S. club.  Complete with maps, descriptions of members- and enemies.  Even includes a ransom etter and secret messages.

6  First Book in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tasty_graffiti on: June 09, 2010 03:17:11 PM
I normally hang out in the crochet section of craftster, but explored different options during this last crafting craze ^_^

I am a student, and something that comes along with that is a lot of wasted printer paper...   I hate all the paper waste that goes with that and wanted to see what i could do with it.
Figured I would give book binding a go!

Alright for a first try!
I am a little disapointed in how the spine didn't stay against the cover of the book.  The inner lining of the covers pushed the spine away Sad  I know for next time to glue the spine down as well, but for this book do you think there is anything that can be done??

I also have a TON of paper left over, anyone got any other ideas?

Thanks!

7  Rasta...ness in Crochet: Completed Projects by tasty_graffiti on: April 17, 2010 10:56:42 PM

I had a request from a friend to create a slouchy beanie.  I had no idea what I was getting myself into!  For some reason or another (i.e. my inability to read pattern instructions) I ended up just wingin it and making my own.

Turned out okay!  It's a little too wide, but I've unwound and re-crocheted this project way too many times now.  That was so hard and frustrating!!  I just have my fingers crossed that it will fit better on my buddy's head since he's bigger than me haha

I've already started another beanie for myself, but in solid green.  Hoping to improve the pattern a little bit.  Why do I always have the impulse to make beanies right as the weather is changing?

If anyone can help me- The beanies have this habit of...growing.  The width is always increasing.  I don't think I'm 2dc to create a bigger diameter... but I don't know what's going on!  I decrease a stitch here and there to keep it from growing, but does anyone have a better suggestion?

8  Help! What went wrong?? in Crochet: Completed Projects by tasty_graffiti on: April 05, 2010 04:31:57 PM
I just completed by first crochet flower...thingy!!:

Pattern from this link:
http://web.archive.org/web/20040208083935/http://www.spatulagraphics.com/krochet/patterns/flwrcstr.html
And inspired by this discussion:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343176.0

Only the flower doesn't look right, the petals (bottom, your left of photo) are uneven/squished.  What went wrong?  Or what causes this so I can fix it!
Thank you
