21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: The Pandoctopus & Friends! on: April 18, 2010 10:02:14 PM
They all look very cuddly!  I think I like the Honey Bear Octopus the best, though.  Great job!
22  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Heatable sock cat (with tute and lots of pics) on: April 18, 2010 09:56:35 PM
My son is turning 2 soon, and so I made this for him!
It's a microwavable sock cat. Theoretically, heating it up for him will give him something nice to cuddle at bed time. Especially during our Canadian winter nights!
I need to make one of these for all of my family members!  I know what you mean about the Canadian winter nights, being (proudly) Canadian myself.  I needed something like this for the time our heater broke down in January. . .  Lips sealed
23  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Dragon Security Blanket on: April 18, 2010 09:50:44 PM
So awesome.   Grin   I like the fabrics, esp. the bumppy stuff on the backside of the blanket!

I love the mohawk too!  Does the fabric allow it to stand up on it's own, or did you stuff it with wire. . .
25  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: The Ongoing Poppet-Along on: April 18, 2010 09:37:53 PM
All-righty!  I've read all morning and got to page 500!  I might have time in the evening to read some more!  I'm getting a headache because I've been reading nonstop and my computer is going to totally die on me by the time I finish but that's definitely okay!   Roll Eyes

Holy cow, don't forget to clear your cache to speed up your browser.

Sorry, if this is a duh question, but clear my cache?
I was wondering if if it is worth it to buy the doll/teddy bear joints on ebay.  Is it easier then using shank buttons+floss?

(P.S.  I am now on page 601, post 6000!)
26  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: My first quilling project :) on: April 17, 2010 11:20:46 PM
That's an awesome idea for the sand and everything!
27  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: My first backpack: a triangular one on: April 17, 2010 11:19:16 PM
Well done!  I've always thought of making a backpack but the idea kind of intimidates me. It seems different from a purse or wallet, I don't know. Anyway, after seeing yours, maybe I'll try making one.

Hi!  I'm think I'm going to join this craft-along.  And I actually decided I have to read all 1115 pages of this!  Grin   I'm at 346-ish.  I have a long way to go yet!  But it's worth it, because I have found so many hints on how to do hair, find supplies, clothes for the poppets, ect!  I'm reading at an average of 90 pages a day.   Cheesy  (How do I find the time?)

These are totally cute!  I would love one (or two or three or four. . . )
