1  Re: TTTPT Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by sweet_aya on: October 04, 2010 06:59:51 PM
^ that's a lovely package!

My partner unfortunately disappeared shortly after the swap begun, so I didn't get to swap with anyone Sad
Here are the things I made, two of my partner's favorite discworld characters:

an embroidered portrait of the Patrician, along with his family motto:

"if it's not broken, don't fix it"

and a tiny amigurumi DEATH.

sorry for the bad pics, i only have my cell phone to take them. i still hope you like them!

My partner Cronopita and I swapped today!

We decided on a "one tiny thing" kind of swap since we're both very short of time. The theme of the swap was "breakfast in Tiffany's", we're both avid fans of that movie and of Audrey Hepburn.

here is what I got!

it's a Tiffany's box!

and what's inside?

a necklace, and a lovely Audrey needle felted doll. so amazing!! Cheesy

thanks so much Cronopita, I loved swapping with you!
and thanks to Goldfishpollywog for organizing, too!

3  Re: ~TWO TINY THINGS FAVE BAND SWAP GALLERY!!!~ in The Swap Gallery by sweet_aya on: August 04, 2010 07:57:45 PM
I received!!! I'm soooo happy and excited, Suereal really did an amazing job. I was very surprised (and pleased) about the things she chose to craft. But without further ado, here are... the pics!

First, this is how everything was wrapped, in a lovely black and white fabric with skulls. The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club fan in me is pleased. Cheesy

Now on to the items!

an AMAZING The Clash's "London Calling" patch. I needed something to decorate my new viola's case with, and this is absolutely perfect for that. punk rock, baby!

And a beautiful charm, inspired by my favorite song, Syd Barrett's "Dominoes". The lyrics go "you and I, and dominoes, day goes by..." I can see what you did there, Suereal! Wink
it's a domino piece! with clock parts on it, and it says "You & I". Brilliant!

Thank you so much!!
I hope you like what I made for you even half as much as I like my loot! Cheesy

A lovely card!

Some pins that will really help my style ^_^

My new friend, an ADORABLE amigurumi duck. I squealed about him for like 20 minutes Cheesy

Last but not least, this gorgeous work of art. It will go on a frame! Such detail, omg.

Am I the luckiest swap partner ever or what? Cheesy

Thank you so very much Chuggypig!! you're incredibly talented!!!

5  perfume box mini notebook, so chic! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweet_aya on: April 22, 2010 09:22:44 PM
Today I found I ran out of my favorite perfume... Now, instead of throwing away the box, I made this as a belated birthday present for a friend. I think it turned out pretty nice!

i stuck the bow to the paper with super glue... it's gonna stay there!

a few pics from the process:

Cheesy

6  hot pink notebook case - my first post! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sweet_aya on: April 02, 2010 04:51:40 PM
Hello Craftster community! I've been a lurker for months and I just decided to actually join the community. Being my first post, i can only post links to the pics, not the pics themselves. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyways, to the point... my first notebook case!

I made this shortly after getting my MacBook in late 2008. I'm not a great seamstress but I think I pulled it off okay. I'll make a new one soon, because I got so many great tips and ideas from this site that I really want to get back to work! Cheesy

I used faux fur, matelasse red fabric for the lining (provides a little cushion too), and a layer of white plastic in between so that no water or dust can get in. I really love the orange zipper, i think the colors match wonderfully. What do you think?
