So since I don't want to clog the forum with multiple posts, I'll make a single post with my nicer creations this semester.
This is my favorite piece. B-mix clay, with green oxides over Chino. Turquoise glaze inside and over the sides.
This was a bowl thrown with Rods Bod clay, glazed with oxides, and Woo Blue, with Pete's Red on top.
This is my largest piece. I used Rods Bod clay, and used Timoku (brown/black) glaze with Hiro's green glaze and various oxides. I'm using it to hold my bamboo cooking spoons.
Rods Bod clay, glazed with iron oxide, Pete's Red with Woo Blue over parts.
I made this for my daddy. He likes small coffee mugs, and didn't actually want a crazy looking one. I decided a regular coffee mug was not a good thing to make because...you can buy one. So I tried to make an appealing shape and a handle (which I'd never done before). The handle is so large because I wanted it to be big enough for his hands, and it looks sort of neat that way. The glaze is Hiro's Green with Green oxides. I wanted it to look manly. The inside I glazed with Timoku to get a dark inside so if it was stained with coffee, you wouldn't be able to tell.
Thanks for looking
