3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lighted glass countertop on: September 03, 2011 04:09:23 PM
SO BEAUTIFUL

i like the idea above, clear or frosted apothecary glass holding various bathroom stuff (cotton swabs/balls etc) would look very snazzy. I dont know if it would be overkill, but perhaps shiny/metallic containers to hold similar things (or things you don't want so visible in clear glass) would look nice in bronze/copper tones as well? i'm thinking anything non plasticky and either reflective or translucent would keep the light and warmth of the lighted countertop and not really cover it up too much

hah, I love it!

i would wear this everywhere!i bet it would take a while to notice too, because usually when something is cute people tend not to notice if its lewd or not. i own a pink penicorn and no one notices  it has balls on its head unless i point it out

I think I speak for everyone when I say we need to see a photo of this  Roll Eyes haha

On a website this big you cannot assume that everyone is familiar with your work...I mean honestly, I have no idea who this poster is and what kind of work they do on a regular basis...so I shouldn't be expected to "know" what their posts are all about. Not being snarky, just giving an alternate point of view.

Also, no titles are present when clicking through from the slide show on the front page (which is how I got here)

Although I agree that the mature title is kind of not helpful....it might be more useful to have a 'taxidermy' label instead. Ah well, maybe we can throw it in the suggestion forum..there are certainly enough projects like this out there.

9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question for Canadian Soapers on: March 29, 2011 08:16:46 AM
I'd think if you had somewhere semi-local, the shipping savings alone would be worth it! Canadian shipping is so expensive, it sucks.

I've ordered from new directions aromatics in ontario several times and I really like them. I've also ordered from canwax (also ontario) but I prefer new directions very much. I have also ordered (wax) from a company in alberta, but I can't remember their name off the top of my head

a quick google search shows sudsandscents.com operates out of abbotsford BC, and I know I have found a directory of canadian candle/soap making companies before out there. There is a surprising amount of companies out there in the west/midwest actually..I was surprised!
