1  Re: Felt Badge Round 2 Gallery!! (Send Out July 9) in The Swap Gallery by croonqueen on: July 12, 2012 04:51:21 PM
I got goodies in my mailbox today from Sharalee!  Thank you so much - I love them both but I -especially- love the jazz singer with the world's most fearsome 'fro! Check out all those French knots! I'm going to sew it to my little black velvet purse that I take to gigs to hold keys and lipstick (I'm a jazz singer with a 17-piece swing-era big band).  The hat will become a magnet for my fridge.  Great experience for my first swap!

2  Re: Felt Badge Swap Round 2!! (SU June 9, SO July 9) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by croonqueen on: June 04, 2012 02:25:30 PM
I signed up! This will be my first swap AND would have been my first felt badges except I've already started practicing.  I made two for my toddler to use like merit badges for big milestones. I am now slightly more confident about my badge skills but lawd! The ones in the round 1 gallery are pretty fabulous.  I gotta step it up.

These are for first time going #1 and #2 on the big boy potty. Smiley
Ugh I just realized they are out of focus.  I'll get some better pictures later - my Flip doesn't do macro very well.

3  Felt Board Playsets in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by croonqueen on: June 02, 2012 07:08:23 PM
I had fun with felt today! My 2 year old is discovering felt board fun and I am discovering felt board crafting fun.  Win win.  Here's what I did today (colors are darker in the pics than they actually are).

ABC Train Set
The letters are done in glossy puffy paint, and my toddler can match the lower case letters to the upper case letters and take them all for a ride. He is in heaven.

Coral Reef Playset
The colors are way off in this picture. It's much...reefier and dimensional in person. These fish do not exist in nature but my 2 year old doesn't know that!

Basic House Playset
It's felt. It's a house scene. BUT it can also be configured into a train complete with smoke stack and clouds, er, smoke coming out of it. I didn't know that until my 2 year old started playing with it.
