I've been terribly slack but finally have gotten around to taking some pictures of the fabulous cards I've received. If I haven't PM'd you to let you know I received, please accept my apologies, I've been a bit forgetful lately. Also, if you know I've received and don't see a picture up, please feel free to post a picture or PM me to remind me. It's just been one of those months!
Here they are:
RaeRaggs for (mini works of art)
An Andy Warhol design of Ms Monroe

So cleverly done, I love it!

ThreadOrYarn for (Famous Artists)

Hehe so cute!

ysmeine for (Irish)

Love it, it's a gorgeous "postcard"

c*lientje for (HHGTTG)

Love it, so accurate! And the envelope is gorgeous, and the money is cool as!

On the right is the gorgeous ATC I got from Coryjo (the other two small ones are from the November swap, but I got them together and was thinking they were in the same swap lol).

Thanks for a lovely card Coryjo, it'll go beautifully in my album

On the left are the gorgeous little ATCs I got from MadHatteh (the Celtic Cross is from the October swap, but I got them together and was thinking they were in the same swap lol). The "I quit" is for American Beauty (love the chaos behind the man) the other is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, with two batteries that have Don't Panic and "where God went wrong" written on them.

14  Sending a little girl with cancer some cheer and happiness in Crafty Charitable/Social Causes by Mod35tBabe on: November 11, 2011 04:39:14 AM

Hi guys

This event on Facebook has been started by someone who is friends with several friends I have on FB. Thought there might be a few people out there interested in donating a crafted item or sending her a card or something. Here is the background story:

Dearest Friends,
I own a dance studio, and I have a student, (little girl, who will be 10 this month), that just had her left kidney removed, and was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer.
I was wondering, if anyone would like to send her a get well card, or a care package....something for her to cuddle, or play with...that sort of thing, to help keep her smiling, and stay positive?
I thought it would be nice, for her to get cards, from all over the world, to keep her spirits up, and give her something fun to enjoy, while she is fighting this illness!!! A smile is the best medicine!!! If you would like to send her a card...etc, private message me, Tari Ott, or my friend Keithy T Bear, and we will get you an address. This really means a lot, and I do appreciate your kindness. Thank you all!!! xoxoxoxo

Here is the link to the event so you can "attend" and also contact Tari or Keithy to get the address: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=183233105096267

Hope to see some of you there Smiley

Here is the card I sent to the little girl:

I finally got Craftster to agree to let me upload my pictures - Jill's already posted her fabulous water colour but she also sent me some lovely paper:-
(She's so generous!)

And here is Brackish Potato's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy featuring one of my favourite quotes - she's cleverly made the coffee feel and look liquid-like using a hot glue gun.

I received a few days ago from Tanza but I've been in the Blue Mountains so today's the first day I've had a chance to post the pics. She sent me an awesome pair of Dora slippers for my step daughter (which she loved because they have Dora AND she can put them on "all by herself"!) and some headache balm (which I already tried out and it was so refreshing). Without further ado...the pics:

Thanks again Tanza

Meet Alice from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland!

Alice full length shot - she measures approximately 68cm high

Shot of her gorgeous boots

So much work has gone into her, she's incredible, thank you so much HowLovely!

Wow first to post what Steve received, how cool!
So Mezcrafts totally spoilt him rotten - he needn't whinge about never getting anything in parcels for the next couple of months after getting this load hehe.
On the outside of the box she drew these cool pirate ships - I'm going to make them into little pictures:

First up is this awesome box with skulls and a pirate-y map of Australia

Some Cinnamon candies

This is the skeleton hand you use to open the box:

The cool skulls and details inside the top of the box - with the skeleton hand dangling:

Some candy sticks and cute erasers for his daughter:

A skull and cross bones flag:

And finally a black t-shirt with a white base image (I don't know how she made it) with handdrawn BMX riders and what appears to be squiggly lines but look again and you'll find the words Stefanie, Steven and Accacia appear - how cool is that??

I will try and get an action shot tonight hehe. Thanks so much Michelle!

I received from RedStar today so will be posting a pic later on. RedStar seems convinced she only has "minimal drawing skill" - Im sure when you all see her card you'll all agree with me that her assessment is far off the mark, she has done such a fantastic job of drawing it Cheesy

Terribly sorry for taking so long but here is the picture of RedStar's awesome effort:

Worth the wait though, right?
