I received my AMAZING package from trampycouture!

She pmed me and asked me to take extra photos of the "large item"- they are all so detailed and well done they all should count as larges! I have craft shame that I didn't send more

Her stitches are so even, delicate and tiny!

I received a travel blanket, two towels, and a Virgin de Guadalupe embroidery stretched on a mini canvas

trampycouture- I will be taking some photos tomorrow to show the size and scale better tomorrow =)

Thank you so much!

23  Re: Art Journal Page Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by RougeRaven on: February 22, 2010 08:26:17 PM
I received from Audio today and her pages are amazing!:

My theme was "Wings and Things"- butterflies, birds, bats, bugs, planes, anything that flies or has to do with the air. They are about 8x8" and are going into a pretty album I got on clearance at Michael's

She used a ton of stuff for texture- a key, fabric, ribbon, collage, eyelets- I'm spoiled!

I received my package stellato_escuro and she spoiled me rotten!

There was so much stuff I couldn't take a shot of everything together:

Here are some of my favorite pieces:

She must have really stalked me because I don't know how she found out that I adore The Crow and about my connection to the Sioux.

Some of the smaller bits:

Bigger pieces:

And finally a Jesus key chain, a scrap of pretty fabric, an elephant earring, some pretty wired ribbon, a tiny handmade book, and a sweet star decoration(!):

25  Re: 44 Cent Swap Rd 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by RougeRaven on: October 22, 2009 08:22:45 PM
The post office was evil and delayed my envelope from saxonsweetie but I finally got it and it was so worth the wait!

I got some beautifully ornate stickers, pretty pink paper, antique papers from a German school book (!), an adorable cross stitched crow/raven that I will totally hang in a shrine or itty bitty frame, 2 tiny foreign coins, a key, and some pretty green paper. She totally pegged my style down, I can't wait for free time to craft  Grin

All the loot:

The stickers:

I received from lovesclutter yesterday but I got home late. Without further delay, onto the loot!

A view of the whole swap package:

The back of the envelope:

Inchies and artwork by lovesclutter:

Pretty lace, *huge* sheet of music, and a cool alphabet chart:

A neat page with great detailed graphics of hands (I've got an obsession with hand imagery):

Thanks again lovesclutter- I can't wait to use it all in my altered journal!

27  Re: Altered Journal-a-long in Craftalongs by RougeRaven on: September 28, 2009 06:37:04 PM
Here's some two page spreads I've done in watercolor; I think I'm through with individual pages now, everything I do seems to take up the whole two pages.

Got this idea from a quilt pattern I was working on:

This is simple but has become a favorite of mine:

Hey guys, it's me- weeping_cloud. I have another spread for you guys (I'm pretty sure I haven't posted it yet ^_^' )

Like I mentioned earlier, I stay at my boyfriend's place in the summer; when I took the 14 hour train ride this time I decided to keep myself busy by looking out the window once and hour and doodling what I saw. I am definitely doing it again for the ride back.

29  Raven Domino Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by RougeRaven on: August 16, 2009 10:10:49 AM
I normally don't make jewelry, but once I saw people making those altered domino pieces (yes, I am way behind on the times) I just had to make one.

I simply stamped my image using some "permanent ink" and then colored in the negative portion of the image with acrylic paints. I sealed it with both a spray and a coat of nail polish to give it a glossy finish.

I've been working in my altered journal for a while now, most of it has just been a lot of writing with a small doodle or two so I haven't been posting. But here are a couple of the more crafty pages:

Self Portrait page:

Also, a question- I just bought a beautiful sketchbook to start working in and it turns out the pages absolutely hates watercolors; it soaks them up immediately and won't let me spread them over the page. So, is there anything I can do to fix this?
