11  Re: Awesome Adventure Time Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by RougeRaven on: September 21, 2012 07:06:07 PM
Interrobam and I met up today to open our packages together. I don't know if any of you have had the chance to experience swap shame in person, but Interrobam's package kicked my package's butt. She did an amazing job on all of the projects. This is totally one of the top three best swaps I've been in. Thank you so much Interrobam!

First up, a freakin' Fiona hat! That fits perfectly, with position-able ears nonetheless!

(Ignore my smug face, but my hat is awesome!)

These next two photos are of a very well designed Fiona bag. The handles look like the ears of her hat!

And she put the most amazing detail on the inside- tiny Cake!

I don't think you are ready for this awesomeness: Marceline and Bubblegum dolls!

There are so many details on these dolls that I could flood the board with close ups but here are just a few:

Like the bows on the back of Marceline's boots

Bubblegum had tiny bows on the toes of her shoes but my camera wouldn't focus on them. But check out the perfect tiny pocket

And then because ya know, 4 large items weren't enough, she also made me these adorable stamps:

Oh, and the fact that she is still working on a last large item because she is insane amazing.

Thank you so much for everything, Interrobam. You're a craft god in my book.

I received from thehappycrochetchic Thursday but didn't get home until today to open my package.

I got not one, but two tiny house pin cushions! I love the little deer on the skinny house and the text door on the wide one.

Thank you so much thehappycrochetchic!

13  30 Day Challenge: A Stitch a Day in Needlework: Completed Projects by RougeRaven on: August 02, 2012 12:27:31 AM
This year I have challenged myself to complete 12 different 30 day projects. July's was to embroider something each day.

Many of the pieces represent something that happened each day, other were stitched simply because I liked them.

One of my favorites is the scooter. We were at a red light when this Middle Eastern man in traditional clothing rode past us on a pink Vespa with a long white scarf billowing in the wind. I also love the G-man spy from the video game Psychonauts with his quote.

I received from Jexxican yesterday but I didn't get home until today. I am in love!

How pretty are they? She combined my love for henna designs with my bird theme. Thank you so much Jexxican!

My package from Raerae came Friday but I was gone for the weekend. I love it!

The cover is made out of an old pair of jeans. It's so soft and the pocket is perfect for holding my pen.

Some of my favorite pages:

A sugar skull on my "please return is found" page. It looks like a crayon tranfer?

Raerae and I agreed to complete a spread in each other's journal. Hers reminds me of the cosmos, some far away galaxy.

Tape and gesso, awesome 3d texture, those bumps each have a dip in the middle, like craters.

Skulls! I think she drew them all?

There are so many more amazing pages! Thanks Raerae!

Ok tinypic.com wasn't working for me but craftster image hosting saved me!

Alison sent me a hot pink composition book for her journal and it was filled with doodles and some of her fine artwork. She filled the entire thing and even journaled into December. Alot of the pages are super personal so I am going to post some of the awesome art pages <3

Her family:

A chibi of one of her online characters:

This was her "small" item for me- a colored pencil koi fish! I asked her to draw me something, whatever she felt like drawing. I love it!:

Thank you so much Alison!

20  Re: OTT History Swap in The Swap Gallery by RougeRaven on: September 30, 2010 11:57:27 AM
I received from crazyda79 this afternoon- my three people were Edgar Allan Poe, Frida Kahlo, and Leonardo DaVinci. Crazyda79 made me a 4" x 4" canvas with a tiny printed version of Poe's "The Raven" that has a raven painted on top of the text.

Thank you crazyda79  Smiley
